i have been looking at getting the venom micro 3d because of its size. is there anyone who has flown this little helicopter.
how hard is it to fly (i am an experienced pilot)?
is it durable at all or does it explode when you crash?
I guess im wondering if it is really worth 250.00

seems like it would be alot of fun

Its SWEET!! personally i think it flies better than a blade cp pro. I was shocked at how smooth such a small little thing could be. It comes with an adjustable radio and cell balancing charger and all.

It's every bit worth the $250.00 you pay, it is so fun and not that hard to fly, great for those rainy or snowy days indoors. Great customer service from Venom also.

i went ahead and got the little heli and it is amazing how easy it really is to fly. its very stable and smooth. the gyro holds the tail pretty well to. i would say that it is definatly worth the 250.00
has any one rolled this heli invrted and how quik does it roll? should i have alot of altitude or does it roll over pretty smoothly?

thanks guys for the posts

I would allow plenty of altitude for your first times as it is a small helicopter and if you are not used to rolling helis, especially small ones you will not be used to how much collective you need to use.

Now i am having a problem with maintaining lift for more than 30 seconds at a time. is this how it is supposed to be. if not what might i be doing wron? how long should i be able to consistantly fly the micro heli durring one battery charge. the kit is new, so should the battery having failed be an issue?

failed batteries is going to be a very common problem if they keep using the .75amp charger that it comes with...

I had trouble with my first Battery, Paul @ Venom took care of it with no questions, now I get over 5 min. of flight with zero problems after about 40-50 flights, no 3d. Also the motor needs to stay cool and not get over worked from too much pitch, this heats up the brushes and kills them. Try a new motor and keep an eye on the temp, if that doesn't work give Paul a call and talk to him, he'll help you out....Super nice guy

I've been eyeing the micro too. I would like to see some video of someone flying it before I buy.

Does this one come with a 2 cell and capable of 3 cell?

once i get my power situation worked out i will post a video of it flying. as small as it is it truelly is amazing how easy it is to fly. the tail holds nicely and the response is more than exceptable. although i think a little more response would be nice. another plus is one of my LHS carry all the parts.

i would like to know if anyone has fliped theirs inverted while stationary. how headspead does it loose. how much did it drop before an inverted hover.....or is this even possible with this heli.

thanks for the replies

Micro 3d

I saw one flying last night at RMRC hobbies up here in denver. I want one after that I have been wanting to get something I can fly inside the blade CP is too big for that, and did not reall want a CX. All I can say is that little bird fly awsome and parts are pretty cheap also.

I have a Venom NR 3D Micro. Mine has gone thru a brushless conversion, CC ESC, and now using the TP 410 3S liPo. I do mild 3D with my micro. The blades are wayyyyyy to soft for anything extreme. I have Carbon blades being made now. Flies inverted very well. Lacks in tail response is about all I can say. Fun little heli for sure!

The truth is this. A Stock Venom with the brushed motor is a horrible set up. When I got mine and it was brand new out of the box and stock, I had about 3 minute flight times. Power was terrible and the brushed main motor heated up real quick. At first throttle increase after a full charge, it felt nice. BUT only for about 5 seconds. That 200mAh LiPo is worthless. I hate to ruin anyones view on this little heli, but, stock, they are just no good! Also, the stock brushed motor only has a lifespan of about 20 flights. Then it gets tired and runs like your needing a battery charge the whole time. The brushless upgrade is the only way to go. With my AON, CC ESC, and TP410, I get about 12 minutes of pretty demanding power draw. I do land a few seconds to give the motor a break. If you have any questions please feel free to message me. Heres a couple of pics:
