After reading about me wanting to upgrade my Sceadu to an EVO, RR member Channelwhip offered a crashed EVO to me for a price substantially below FMV. Since he is new to the forum my first reaction was to just say thanks and pass on the deal. Then after thinking it over for a while I counter offered him on the EVO.
I explained how it's hard to send $200+ up front for sight unseen gear. Then I asked if he may be interested in sending the EVO to me for inspection before getting paid for it. Then I told him if it's what he says it is I'll send a postal money order via Priority Mail as soon as I get the heli and check it out. If it was not as described in the offer I would pay to ship it back. I offered references to back me up in the event of failure to pay on my end as well as other pertinent info so he would know who he's dealing with and where to find me.
He agreed and sent the EVO up front. After checking it out I felt that it was not quite worth what we had first agreed upon. We then talked on the phone, adjusted the selling price to where we both were comfortable, then agreed that we have a deal.
Through the whole process RR Channelwhip, Marqius Hayes, was great to deal with. When I contacted him about issues with the model, he was very understanding and worked with me to iron out a solution that was agreeable for both of us. By deals end we both made concessions and neither of us got exactly what we first expected. But the solution worked for both of us.
If ever you enter in to negotiations with Channelwhip on model gear you can be sure it will be no less than first class dealings. It was a pleasure to do business with Marquis and would not hesitate to do it again. |
