I put a OS hyper 50 in the mechanics of a 30 - 50 size Century Agusta 109a and the fan shroud is in contact with the top of the engine head because the head is so long. Do I need to trim this part of the shroud so it is not in contact with the head? Since it is plastic I suspect it will melt. It was very hard just getting the shroud in place with this engine. P

(Century mechanics) yes we guys with our pod & boom cut the shroud to fit around the Hyper's head, in the end after your done cutting the top fin on the head should be right inline with the shroud, if you take your time cutting you can get a rather nice fit with the shroud formed tight around the top fin, and being scale with the enclosed fuse run your motor 1 or 2 clicks rich, your motor should run quite cool..

Thanks, I sort of figured I needed to trim that thing but wasn't sure. I appreciate the comment on running a couple clicks richer as well since this is my first scale model.
