"I still thinks it's worth waiting to see what Futaba is going to release"

OICU812 wrote: "We did see what they released a plastic black 6 channel peice of crap , where you been??"

Hmmm... Isn't that how Spektrum got its start, with something comparable but with fewer features and a horrible menu system? Ah yes! It was called the DX6!

I'm simply stating that it's worth it to me so see what "all" Futaba is going to release, not just their first offering. I'm not saying that I'm going to purchase what Futaba release either, just that I would rather pick from the best of what's available, not the first.

I just had an e-mail back from the UK distributor on the subject of these new items.......

"We're looking at April delivery, both into the US and UK - our sales people are just setting the UK pricing so we'll let everyone know once they've sorted out duty etc...."

Those prices were also retail price, so maybe they will be between $200 and $250? Either way I'm getting one for my 9303. 2.4ghz and a faster radio, woooowoooo
I have seen two sources now say that those are street prices, not MSRP. The official announcement is supposed to be today so we shall soon see.

Still don't think they are too high. I'm more than willing to pay the $239 for the AR7000 JR setup

Toro: Is the wire we see in the picture the actual antenna, or a length of coax leading to the antenna?

Thanks!

plug and play

Do you know if these are plug and play allowing one to switch back and forth between ppm and dsm by simply swapping modules????

What happens to the stock antennae?

So when we plug in thses modules, they will be slower that the ppm mode of the transmitter. How much slower than say a MZ system, preferably a 12?

Everyone keeps asking about slow/faster systems. I can't tell if the DX-7 is any faster or slower than my 9303 was.. I think people are getting to hung up on this, I bet most of us will never notice any difference in speed but may think it's faster because we have been told so. Faster or slower, it works!

I love the DX-7, everything you need and it has worked beautifully!

and future ground up systems.

Now that I like!! The JR 9303 is one fantastic radio. These new modules are very exciting but I really want to see a true DX-9. I assume it is in the works.... Can't wait!

That will be the ultimate radio!

It would be nice to think that you could mount the 2.4G antenna in the normal location (eg as on the DX7), drill a little hole in the case and plug in to the module on the back..

But regard less, mines on order already !!!

Have you tried going back to the 9303 right after flying with the DX7?

I usually don't notice the improvement much when I upgrqade, but when I downgrade again I notice!

These modules are cool, but I too would prefer a "pure" DX9.

I saw the new receiver in vegas - nice looking, It had a long antenna (like 3" and a short one. Neato!

tauscnc, I agree on this latency deal that everyone is worried about. I'll bet that even though the 2.4ghz module would make it faster than my FM PCM setup, that I won't even notice the difference.

I'll use my R770 PCM Rx for a plank.

So for us guys with our slow 9303s, we will finally be able to actually fly

PER Paul Beard...

Normal folk shouldnt be able to feel the latency on this. They have re-fined processing to bring latency down to about the same level as PCM to PPM conversion.

FYI... this is version 19 so they have done years of testing on this.

This might sound like a stupid question , but I have a 9303 on 50mhz , I understand that the only difference between the 50 and 72 mhz is in the module nothing internal in the tx so if that's the case it should also work with Tx with 50 mhz??

Thanks,

epc2.
