I was using the Jeti JES300 heli. I think I got it from Hobby Lobby. I put my Wattmeter on it and it drew about 19 or 20 amps.

Eco 8 401 & 9650

Guys,

I am in the process of rebuilding and upgrading my beloved Eco 8 and have had a hard time of finding a suitable tail servo mount for the 9650 on the Eco 8 tail boom. What kind of servo mount do you use if you're using a 401 & 9650 on your Eco 8 tail boom? and where to get the appropriate servo mount for this kind of application? Your helps and suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.

I've used two Servo/Boom support clamps and a CF plate for my S9254. You can check it out HERE I learned it from a few other ECO8 diehards...... You can go to My Gallery and I have links to all their ECO projects. They are all very talented!

Thanks Simages!

I love your Eco 8 and all the blings on it. Where did you get that nice set of linkage? This is my first time ever seeing such a nice linkage set, the stock linkage that came with the Eco 8 were all plastics...Thanks again for your help.

Thanks - it's still a work in progress and is almost there. The plastic stock links work fine by design..... those links I have were purchased from a LHS in Germany by one of the ECO owners "Gadget01" you need to look at his build thread as he started it all! Actually, he has just started back building his following a complete tear down. I found those Zeal Heli control rods from oldtoystore on Ebay
Make sure you check out the other ECO owners threads, it's alot of get "proven" design ideas.....

servo boom support clams for Eco8

I found a cf plate to mount the S9650 but I couldn't locate anyone that sells the alum servo boom support clams. I checked everywhere but no where to be found. Has anyone order these recently? and please let me know where I can get these. Many thanks.

Try HERE although pricy and the plate is for a servo smaller then the S9650 that is the clamp, but I used two because my CF plate would flex.

Thanks Simages! I just called Heli Hobby and they do not have any of the boom mount clams for the Eco 8. Now, I have to figure out the other way to mount the S9650. Thanks for your help.
