Do you mean you go to the flying field with flat nicads then depend on your lipo charger to charge em utter ??????.

why buy a 1010c if you need to charge nicads

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		personally i bought it for the lipo charging and safety but if they have a version to allow you to charge nicad and nimh why not reduces field equipment no need for 2 chargers

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I haven't used my charger yet since I updated it. Guess I will be putting the previous update back on till things are sorted out.

Were you charging a battery when it fried or just when you powered it up?


Hopefully TP will be repairing or replacing your charger.

I installed the 2.2 update. Charged 2 NIMH 7 cell packs. No problem. Later we were charging a 2100 3 cell lipo. After about 4 minutes the balancer started making a faint squealing noise. We disconnected the balancer then terminated the charge by disconnecting the charge leads then the charger made a loud pop then was dead.

Emailed thunder power and got a canned "send it in and we will check it out" response.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Mines be fine , but thats worrying , may be theres older versions of the charger which can not handle the update.
I must of easily charged around 20 plus 3s and 6s lipos since the update and used the nicad charger

I spoke with Thunder Power and yes, it has been removed. There have been some reported issues and their recommendation to me was re-install 2.1A. TP says they will re-release the software when the reported issues have been investigated and resolved

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Mines still working well on the new firmware , I also charged my radio nicad with it yesterday.

The only bit I dont like is when you select what type battery you want to charge it just takes you around in circles , you need to then disconnect the power and it reboots in that battery type.
