I had the glow plug loose and had to tighten it down to get it run. It will flood real fast though. I had to keep pinching off the fuel line and blow the fuel out with the plug out. But, once you do that, tighten the plug, put the ignitor on and hit the starter and it's back running. It will bog down real bad at idle when you try to open it up. But, I sat there idling with the blades barely spinning for a good 5 minutes and then tried to open it up and it died. It's on the charger now for a flight tomorrow morning.

Hi Tmblewd great news you have got it going I like the thought of it echoing light a dirt bike in that JK Hatori pipe did you need a header pipe or did it go straight on to the engine it should be fun once you have a gallon or so of fuel through it then it might give an indication of how powerful its going to launch your model vertical so you can give us a comparison against the hyper hopefully thanks .hayabusa

I flew a couple tanks through it just hovering around last week. Work and home has kept me from doing anything with it this week.

I wish it was that easy. I'm working all this weekend. I probably won't be able to go flying until late next week.

Late next week is coming soon.

I caved, sold my Hyper, and have the last one from AMain on its way. They now show on backorder. I'll be running a full-length Hatori pipe and header. I know of one more member that has one but does not have a motor mount - so I will be trying to help him get his modified to fit a Knight 50 as soon as mine arrives.

I also read that they were shimmed for 10% so I ordered some shims from Planet Hobby to set it up for 30%. Planet Hobby sells the engine for $199 but I'm not sure if this includes the OS exhaust adapter and motor mount AMain includes or not. I found that price after I ordered from AMain.

Looking forward to the flight update!

I'm running mine right out of the box just fine on CP 30%. It starts real easy and runs smooth. When you open the back plate to tighten the flywheel, take a look at the crank and rod, you will flip out at the machining of everything.

I flew a GT50 on 0% and 5% with an hatori tuned pipe. The guys at the field could not believe I was running without nitro!! Also I was only running 16% oil....lower nitro, lower oil. Could easily get 15minutes flying time out of it. I think at 10 percent it would be a rocket. The pipe is the secret to tuning and power with a low nitro engine.

The NovaRossi C50H1 has a lot of RC Car engine technology in it. It has a machined crank that has a type of machined groove for better fuel/air mixture/flow. The rod is nicely machined and heavy duty, it looks like something John Force would used in his funny car. Everything is tight and machined. It's not some cast piece that is milled for clearance. It's just a sweet looking engine. And I wish I had taken pics of the inside of it before it was installed in my EVO.

Geez! 2.2HP at 18000rpm - this engine's going to blow the others away big time, and on 10% nitro to boot.

I'm all ears waiting on a full road test report .....

I know I know, I just was so wrapped up in trying to get it in my Sceadu that I didn't think of internal pics until after the fact. Course, I never thought about going back the the NR site and copying them from there. Course the past week it's been work and a TRex 450SE on my mind. I haven't thought about messing with the EVO.
