Really looking forward to this event

After having a good time at the Mayday event. I am really looking forward to this event now. All you guys at Mayday that I talked to, I looking forward to you coming up. It is going to be a fanstastic event, with some great, great pilots heading this way and it is only 137 more days to the Southern Rotary Classic. We have got a lot of events planned during the fun fly but with such a huge field there will always be room for some flying. More information to come later as the event get closer.

Just 4 Months more

Four Months more to the Southern Rotary Classic and we hope to have more great pilots then ever before. Also thinking about adding some more fun contest. Some of the locals have been practicing hard to beat any out of towners that might challenge us the locals.

SRC #21, Texas updates

Within the next week, we will post a schedule of activities for our event. Friday will be all day open flying and some demos etc. . Saturday will be main event day. Demos by some top pilots, fun contests for all levels and scale heli competition. More to come.
We plan on raffling away "3" helis. All details coming in the next few days.
We know gas prices are high, so we are going to try and make everyones trip worthwhile and make sure everyone has fun.

Yes, everyone, its just 100 more days before our event. There are 3 pilots in the XFC this year that are scheduled to attend this event, so it should be a lot of fun watching and talking to these guys and we will be posting a schedule of events coming up soon!

Scott Gray is Coming to the Southern Rotary Classic

Mark that is a cool video, we were lucky to be there in person!

While I am on here... Micheal (Loveraptors) take a look at the top of my gallery. I give you the credit buddy, who knows if not for you we may not even have those videos!

Back in 2002 and 2003 loveraptors literally taught me how to setup and fly my helicopter from over 2000 miles away, he took my calls and emails! I am determined to participate in your flying event this year! Thanks again Micheal and I really mean that!

Thanks for the kind words but I would be doing you an injustice if I didn't tell you the truth. loveraptors is NOT Michael Prewitt. Michael's handle is Iflyraptors not loveraptors, and Michael does not post that much on runryder. My name is Terry Dawson and Michael is my good friend, we live in the same town and fly together a lot. Needless to say, He also helped me get started flying Raptors and I still ask questions of him from time to time, so I am more fortunate then probably anyone else. He always seems to be helping someone, just last night I was over to his house and he was putting together a T-Rex 600 nitro for a new club member. However, I will be sure to pass your thanks on to him and hope to see you at our event. Michael want be hard to miss because he will be doing registration and I want be hard to miss because I will be running the event along with our other CD Weldon Freeman, it should be a great event, but before that you can catch Michael and myself at IRCHA over the weekend.

Thanks for the info on Micheal and YES I will absolutely make sure and find you this year at IRCHA. Last year I looked for Micheal but he was always rather busy and I kept missing him somehow... Muncie is just over 4 hours for me, much closer.

Pilots coming

Well, Terry, one of our members works on them all year long, lots of calls and attendance at a lot of funflies around the country, drafting them. Some come because they have heard of us and want to come and some come because others are coming. At one time we were reaching 145-150 pilots at our FF. We advertised with snail mail back then. With the internet now being the mode of communication, there are more funflies all over the United states than ever before. Most folks can get to a funfly within a few hours.
We have been running about 80 registered pilots the last few years. There are a lot of FF's these guys could go to, so we are fortunate to have them come. They can come here and no pressure and still do their thing too.

A lot of credit has to go to Terry (loveraptors)as he works hard at getting some folks here to put on a good show. We have some excellent DFW / and Oklahoma area pilots that are the best at what they do also that will be here. The list is growing. We try to keep it low-key but do a good job. Most people are return visitors.

Michael Prewitt/ Raptortechnique does a lot to help also. He puts a lot into the thing and has for years. He works very hard at it.
We look forward to everyone coming. We have a good scale heli turnout also, we always have some scale competition.
