I built a Vario Trainer for a friend of mine about a month and a half ago. I got the itch for it off and on. Been thinking about this for a few weeks. Well as we know the Trainer Special was about to end and I did break down and ordered it Friday evening. Yesterday East Coast called to confirm some information and sent it out last night.

Door bell rang an hour ago and it's here already. What fast service.

Wife tells me I can't build it until my house project is finished

Thanks Joe

Sneak off into the basement or the garage and take one needed tool at a time to build it....she won't know.

I don't think she would know either. I built my friends Vario and had it in the basement for a bit and she did not comment on it.. I guess she thought it was one of my other ones..

But I do have to finish my very long delay home construction project. Just never got the push I need to finish it.

Can't wait to built this one. IT's MINE, ALL MINE hehehehehe.

What you have to do is convince her that if the heli was done first, then you could really concentrate on the house projects without interuption<G>

Joe,

Can you call and tell her that? Just make sure your ear is not next to the receiver..

You have a good point, but once it's built, I need time to fly it so the house will never get done.

That's a good one Joe.

B.T.D.T.,

I once had about 11 helicopters in the basement. When a new one would arrive my wife wouldn't notice it. The other thing that helped is the box disappeared quickly and I beat the UPS guy home.

It was nice that the Vario came in a plain white box. (I got the delivery anyway )

But the Vario is so much bigger than my other heli's. Good thing she does not snoop around my stuff. My basement is full of stuff (kids toys and odds and ends). It's so full she won't see the new toys I put down there. lol

Now she want the finished basement cleaned out for the kids to play downstairs and put all my stuff which got stored out there during the years back to my little back workshop.

That sounds like a good idea. But no thanks. I'll suffer not being able to build the heli for a few weeks only (I hope)

I was looking over your gallery and I was wondering what some of the helis were and I was wondering if it would be to much to ask if you could put some descriptions with them. Please

I hope the rest of the guys agree.

Bathroom is almost finished. One step closer to building my Vario.

Only problem,
just still have a few more rooms that need baseboard molding and radiators, countertop and paint in the computer room and just need to order the kitchen cabinets .

Where'd you buy the sink? Lowes?

No, It was a local bathroom fixture store in Brooklyn.

Home Depot sells Vessel sinks but my wife did not like the designs they had.

This store imports them and I got some different plumbing shut off valves and drain traps. Much better looking than the one's I've seen here.

Also wife like the screwless switch cover. They do look nicer but cost lots more.

I looked at a sink very similar for our bathroom remodel. I was also looking at the faucets have the water almost coming out of the wall. A little pricey though but nice. Ended up not doing it and somehow a BK 117 snuk into the basement.

Good one Christopher . I like your idea much better.

My brother-inlaw had the one coming out of the wall. It is nice and different. I almost brought the waterfall one. But that was for a counter top sink. Didn't feel like building a custom platform for the faucet for the vessel sink.

Finally,

I going to open the box tonight and start building. I give up on finishing my house first. Life is too short to keep this baby in the box.

Now have to find my other thread to re-read all the tips I had.

Better late than never .
