Thank you for posting pictures of your Parkmite. I like the bottom plate, it provides mmuch needed surface for components. I will upload a picture of my crowded setup in future post.
Unfortunately, I am not able to meassure peak AMPS during climb out because I use a heavy meter between battery & heli to meassure AMPS.
I agree with you about the 400DH motor, I not only like its low weight, but I also like its low profile and the fact that the cables do not come out at the end of the motor. I was using the Hacker B20-22S; it is longer and the cables come out at the bottom of the motor, which detracted the heli looks.
Here are some stats from using different TP batteries with 400DH motor:
TP 1350 mAh:
max RPM: 2750, flying time: 9 minutes, current put back into battery during charging: aprox. 900 mAh. Observations: I have flown over 11 minutes with this battery. Battery just warm at end of flight. No noticeable reduction in RPM during climbouts or manuvers.
TP 900 mAh:
max RPM: 2750, flying time: 6 minutes, current put back into battery during charging: aprox. 700 mAh. Observations: Heli feels lighter during flight, better & more graceful loops and rolls. Battery temp after flying is about 120F. No noticeable reduction in RPM during climbouts or manuvers.
With both batteries, CC-10 ESC temperature at end of flight is between 120 and 140 F. I have a CC-25 on my workbench, but based on other posts, observed performance, and temp measurements I have done right after flying, the CC-10 is capable of handling the 400DH motor in the Parkmite.
I double checked the blade holders apperture, you are right, they are almost 5mm. I will definetively try the MS Composite E489 blades!
Are you able to balance the heli with the battery mounted behind the motor?

However these pinions are made of steel, so if I do not flip the motor cutoff switch fast enough in a crash, the pinion will be undamaged, but the main gear, which is harder to find and more expensive, would be damaged. This is why I like the idea of using the plastic pinions the Parkmite comes with.
