I have been flying two of them. It's a great heli with no need to upgrade anything. I'm no huge 3D pilot yet, but I've done loops, rolls, flips, inverted FFF and inverted hovering.

I'm using Spektrum DX-7 with the AR6000 receivers. E-Flite Park 400 4200 kv motors with a 10 tooth pinion. Castle Phoenix 10 ESC in governor mode. E-Flite G90 gyro. JR-285 servos on cyclic and a HiTek HS-56 on tail.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I'm pleased with how it flies. It's precise on collective and cyclic. I'd like to see the tail hold better, but it's adequate. I tried a Futaba digital mini-servo on the tail and it is a bit better. The tail hold well enough for me to do the stuff I'm doing now, but it probably wouldn't hold well in tail slides or really fast backward flight.

I've got about 180 flights between the 2 I have and I have never had a failure of the machine. I've crashed them a few times from my mistakes, and it holds up pretty well.

Overall, I'm happy with them.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Well I think I reached the end of the internet looking for data on it, as I did not know anything about it til I seen it in a buddies magazine last night. My LHS said they can get them, I just wanted to learn some more on it before I throw out the money for it over a Blade Pro, which is the other heli I am considering. I dont like the tail on the BP tho, I want something smaller, cheaper to fix, than a TREX 450, already had a bunch of them, and this looks promising.

What do you think of the power you have, decent, marginal? would a Futaba 401 be best, or do you think its to heavy?

I am looking for something to practice inverted flight, not super 3D.

Thanks for any info at all you can share.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		With the E-Flite 400, the power is great. But if what you're looking for is a machine to learn inverted on, I'd recommend and upgraded Blade. That's what I used. My Blades start as Pro's. I then Put a Spektrum AR-6100 receiver in it, JR 285 servos, E-Flite G90 gyro, Castle Phoenix 10 ESC, and the HeliHobby dual motor tail unit. I also install 4 head shims per side to tighten up the dampening in the head. Standard wood blades.

With these modes the Blade rocks, almost as good as a T-Rex. And it's a great machine to learn aerobatics.

I have just finished building my Parkmite with the standard motor speed controller, battery, servos and giro.

Having problems in that I have to apply full right rudder to get anywhere near stopping the anti clockiwise rotation before lift off. There is a serious amount of tail pitch but it doesnot have much effect. This amount of tail pitch also loads up the motor somewhat. I am running a 12 tooth pinion though initially tried the 10. I am also surpirsed at how little lift there appears to be. I am getting close to full throttle before the bird starts to go light on the skids.

Suggestions welcome

Both the speed controller and gyro came without english instructions so i have used the best guess principle for set up.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		By the standard stuff, do you mean the brushed motor and ESC? Along with the little flat gyro the instructions show? If so, it sounds like there is not enough power with that system. Maybe the battery pack is bad? I have been using only brushless systems and Lipo batteries. I started with a Park 370 and I'm now running a Park 400. Believe me, power is not a problem with these motors!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I'd guess that you have the gyro reversed. NOt sure what gyro you are running but on a 401 for example; if the gyro direction is reversed you will experience the symptoms you are describing.

To clarify: are you actually able to lift off? It doesn't sound like it but I could be reading your post incorrectly.

Anyway .. check the gyro settings and test carefully.

So how do we work out if our gyro requires reversing?

With the model powered up using a receiver battery hold the tail of the helicopter and give it a sharp movement to the left. As you do this you need to be looking at the servo to see which way it moves. The servo will move because the gyro has detected an unwanted movement and is attempting to correct it. We are simulating an unwanted rotation of the nose of the helicopter to the right (tail to the left). Therefore the gyro should be inputting a left tail rotor command in order to arrest this unwanted movement. Repeat the sharp movement several times until you are sure which way the servo is moving. Now go to your transmitter and input left stick. If the servo (when you input left stick) is moving the same direction as when you were making your sharp unwanted movement then your gyro does not require reversing. If the servo movement is different (opposite) then you do need to reverse the gyro.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		my Parkmite has a e-flite 400 ducted fan outrunner motor, 401 gyro, hs-56mg on cyclic,JR digital micro servo on the tail, cc35 esc. i will never get rid of it. i have a blade cp pro with upgrades and the Parkmite flys tons better and is superior in quality.yes it is more expensive. but you know what they say.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Ok having ahd a double check again, the gyro is working the right way round. The problem appears to be two things, firstly too much main pitch, slowing the gutless motor down. Reduced the pitch to about 60% previous settings and the bird now starting to look like it might overcome gravity. I would welcome suggestions on ESC/Motor/Battery combos that people have had success with. If anyone has supplier links too that would be great. We are making slow progress!!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		fastlif,i dont have much in the way of 3d skills but i have been momentarily out of control and upside down and it recovered well. a tic toc may be hard to do but i think it will do about anything else. its all about power and i think there is a more powerful motor out there than what im using now.
slowafterglow, im using cc35 esc, the 400 motor mentioned above, and a tp 1320 battery. i safely get 10 min. of aggressive flying and every thing barely gets warm and the power is considerabley better than the park 370.
next chance i get ill try a different motor and a slightly larger tail blade. the tail is real close to being perfect now with the 401 it just needs a little more blade or a little more power to reduce the bog further (which is when the tail unlocks and wants to come around).

Hi friends,

I am a new heli, have a few Walkera, never get them off ground. A pro in HK told me to get a real deal, I picked ParkMite as recommended.

I do not know anything about building so will pay a pro for this. Before that, I need to buy components, I have a Futaba 6EXH and a R146iP receiver. Another than these, what is the best to install, say, motor, gyro and servos......

I only want to hover and move a round, may be a flip over later (I tried this on Reflex XTR, which is the best I think).

Hope I can get it off ground in the next two weeks.
