Glad to hear you guys finally got a heli only event! I came to the event two years ago when the planks ruled! I got to fly for a total of (5) minutes in the corner of the field before some old fart wanted the all the pins back for some more stupid plank stuff. Needless to say I wasn't a happy camper that day!

GOOD LUCK with the new heli event, maybe I'll be in town for next years running! Minus the plankers, seemed like a great place to hold an event.

Fly it like you stole it!

Ok, I'm back from the weekend(had to spend some time flying as I want to at least somewhat appear that I can fly and fool you guys into thinking I know what I'm doing, kinda )and what a surprise! We now have thirty one, yes 31 pilots confirmed showing up! Man, this is going to be a blast and we're really going to be able to raise some funds/toys for the kids!! Thanks to all of you for stepping up, seriously man, Thanks.

BluesJunky,
I understand but maybe you can show up next year? That would be cool. I have had several requests to be registered but unable to attend so I will do that. I'll send you my address with info. Thanks again and really hope you can attend next year!

Bobafett(Paul D.)
Coolness, really glad your coming and now maybe we can get you back into flying, blow some of that rust out. I put your name down, make sure and grab me and say hello, see ya then!

jab1969,
Cool, some Dallas/Ft. Worth dudes! Glad you guys can make it. Thanks for the pm, I added ya'll to the list. See ya then and as above, make sure and grab me and say hello! Also, sorry we do not have a/c power out there but if you need d/c then your set. A good chance that someone will have a generator though. Can't wait to meet you guys, see ya then.

shoganai,
Cool, added you to the list. Thanks for coming, again, make sure and grab me and introduce yourself and say hello!! See ya then......

Thanks everyone,
John P.

Post deleted, my post was in reference to possibly increasing the pilots fee just a tad as I've had quite a few pilots ask me to, but decided it wasn't a good idea as I do not want to ruin the mood we've got going on here. So, please keep in mind that the pilots fee is a MINIMUM of $10 or a new toy of equal or higher value. If you want to pay a higher pilots fee then please feel free to do so. If you want to pay the pilots fee AND give a toy then again, please feel free to do so. Sorry for the confusion.....

Whoa man, we're up to 33 pilots! Excellent.

I wanted to let you guys know that a fellow pilot(Daniel) here in Austin will be bringing out one of those Heli-Chairs, he had it at the field this past weekend and was testing it out on a Blade CP Pro and I was impressed. He flew the CP no problem at all and it was only his second attempt! One thing is that it seems almost like there is "built in expo" on that thing so the heli looked shockingly stable. He has some type of camera system setup on his bigger heli(Rappy 50) with VR goggles which gives a cockpit view, gauges and all, and you can fly as far as the Tx wil allow. Wild stuff. Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that he should have this system at the FF.

yeah, I'm IN !

Weather permitting, of course..... if it is SNOWING, I ain't COMING ! Other than that, looks like a GO.

I do beleive that "THE PROFESSOR", Mr. Mark Conroy, will also accompany me to the event. Hope my truck has enough room for that BIG HAIR he packs around.... @<Þ

I also spoke to Michael George, "inkspot".... he MAY be able to get to Houston on that Friday night, and make the day trip with me. Will advise late next week on that.

CONTEMPLATING on what to take.... thought my next FF would be Port Charlotte, Fla. in Feb, but here we go.

Jim,
Cool, glad you can make it. I added you to the list.

AGRAV8,
Also added The Professor to the list. If you know of any others that are coming please let me know so I have a somewhat accurate head count. Also, your Fromeco stuff is on the way, I'll have it for you when you arrive.

Man, 35 pilots!! Wow, this is turning out great for a first time event. Thanks to all of you.

Some thoughts that just popped up while i'm in the holiday spirit. What should we call this event? there is Bikers for Babies, Toys for Tots, why can't we start our own? Also I'm brining my photo equipment, and would like to get a group photo with all of the pilots, helis, and what toys are donated, and then send it to the local papers (that is if everyone is okay with that).

Are there any competitions planned for the day? if not i would like to arrange a few games for fun.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jason

How a bout "Fly 4 Small Fries". I think we should have some compititions. What do you have in mind? Im sure that there will be a auto contest, but I think we should have an auto contest for Novice pilots as well. Because we know, if they come who will win the real auto contest.
