Why in the world should I forgive a company that intentionally misled the public just to generate sales ? ? ?

Hi guys, I found the DX7 for $309 at myrcsupply.net, they have free shipping through Friday the 8th. Now I need to see if Mrs.Claus is going to give me the $309, LOL.
Sounds like a great deal until you see the part where it says Mode-1

You must live a very disappointed life believing every little detail of what companies/advertisers tell you whether on purpose or typo'd or just in context - People make mistakes and yet life goes on somehow - I wonder how.

I own a DX6 - I know it's not the greatest performing radio in the world and I didn't expect it to be at only $199 - I can appreciate all the shortcomings of a technology trickling up instead of down for once and can live with a half-truth statement or two in regards to these low cost new technology products.

If you want perfection then pay someone top dollar for it as usual - Me I was plenty happy with the DX6 for a year knowing something better was in the works.

Do you really think it's the resolution that makes the difference? I'd say latency is a lot more important anyway...

Chaos, attempting an attack on your perception of my life is tangential, inapropriate and simply shows your inability to focus on the issue. Companies that knowingly present "misleading" advertisements need to be questioned and held to a higher standard than individuals.

Andy G, Yes, latency is important but both the DX6 and DX7 have pretty much the same latency. Resolution, or the lack of it, will give more control change than intended for small movements and give the feeling of over correction which will require reverse input and so on. The "right" amount of input (higher resolution) makes life much nicer.

Talk about focus - You have nothing but tunnelvision my friend - I'm simply tired of your crusifixion crusade in every thread mentioning a Spektrum system - I'd like to see just one Spektrum thread that doesn't have you whining about the resolution of the DX6 to no end for once - Life goes on - Why don't you tag along already.

Hhmmmm, isn't that what the managers at NASA and Morton Thiokol said ?

They also were more interested in meeting a launch schedule and preserving future budgets.

Have a look at the numbers posted by Jkos. Latency is one of the major improvements, the second being diversity reception.

Andi G, yes, the numbers posted by Jkos are informative but what I'm talking about is with a small step change and low resolution, you will usually get more control surface change than you want forcing you to reverse correct at the stick leaving you with a feeling of "less than solid" control.

"diversity reception" is another aspect of remote control all together.

I doubt 1024 and 2048 makes a difference with our links and servos but thats just my opinion.

With that, I agree, but
the demonstratable difference between the DX6 and DX7 is 256 to 1024,
and that's what I'm talking about.

Yeah well the DX6 wasn't exactly a moon landing either - Maybe an orbiting monkey blazing a trail there though - So all the DX6 numbers weren't realized - It was certainly still successful enough for the company to keep rolling on to the next step despite the little misunderstanding or whatever - I can live it and I wish you could move on as well - No one is going to travel back in time to fix it - Done is done goodnight Irene.

Chaos, what are you implying here ?
That you only need to tell the truth if it's real important and if not then it's ok to "not tell the truth" ?

That's what happens if you have "flexible" standards and grade on the curve.

I have found that if you stick with the facts, you have a lot less explaining to do later, if any at all. I call it integrity.

No I'm implying that you can only rag on someone so much for something before people start getting extremely annoyed with you - All your ranting is not going to change something someone said a year and a half ago - So just let it go already - I'm sick of hearing it - I'm going to have to start unsubscribing to Spektrum threads I'm interested in the moment you step in with this crap.

Ok, so, I'm getting ready to announce a new product and, just for you and those like you, I will misrepresent this product by inflating it's virtues just to get you to buy it. With the expectation that you will swallow it and not point any fingers at me . . . . . Aren't you the perfect customer ! ?

Is that ok with you ?

If it shuts you up about this I'm Ok with anything already - I'm at the end of my patience with it and guess I'm going to have to take different measures than simply asking you to stop already - I get it - We all get it - So the bastards lied I guess - On behalf of them I profusely appologize for any false statement that may have been printed - Just move on please! - Enough is enough is enough already.

If your threatening to go away, I'm not stopping you.
If you're "sick of hearing it", you don't have to egg it on.

It's not my intention to egg it on - It's my intention to egg it off - I'd rather not have to put you on ignore and unsubscribe to these threads when they become broken and no longer make any sense - You have made your point beyond any usefullness of repeating yourself over and over just as the usefellness of me repeating myself over and over is fading as well - It just doesn't seem fair that I gotta give up following all these threads because you want to continue this silly crusade - But I can't take it anymore - You've stated your case plenty - Now have mercy on us all by letting it go.

No longer - Thanks buddy - I won't ever follow another Spektrum thread just for you - I can see I won't get to enjoy any Spektrum thread subscriptions anyways - Enjoy your crusade - I hope it makes you feel like a saint.
