What have you found to be the best pipe on the Knight 50 / OS 50 Hyper

I am trying a MP and getting some weird on and off the pipe fluctuations.

What are the rest of you running?

JOHNW - Which one are you using? I think there are two different ones for different gear ratios.

I am using a JK Hatori and it seems to work nice. It was kind of hard to mount but runs nice. I have not tried the MP on mine but would like to...

this may sound a little obvious but make sure you run the engine lean enough (but not too lean) and at a high enough headspeed or they will drop on/off the pipe

what governor do you have? I ask because my governor also killed the throttle badly when i had it on. I had about 8 flights on that motor at that time and now it has 11 flights on that motor so pretty much a gallon through it now. I have not yet turned the governor back on. But my motor is like 5 clicks rich past 1 and a half with the muscle pipe. I have the GV-1. I am gonna try the gov to see if it works this weekend hopefully and if it does not what should i do?

The governor will give you trouble if the engine is running too fat for sure. Mine is getting close and I feared that I was running too lean during tests but with Magnum 30 at less than a full turn after a few flights the piston and sleeve are perfect.

I am running 3 birds with the OS 50 Hyper and 1 turn out seems to be the point where you need to go either a little more lean or a little more on the fat side and this has been with Hatori and Curtis pipes.

I suppose I am used to more smoke with cool power and just need to keep playing with the needle until I find that sweet spot on the pipe and the right heard speed to engine rpm match.

I am going to be focusing on this Knight combo tommorrow and will come back with the results later.

OK - kind of windy yesterday but still got some time in on the Knight OS 50 Hyper and found that when running 30% Magnum the high needle is turned in a few clicks past 1 full turn and i tried head speeds of 1750 - 1850 and 1950 with good 3d results on all and the best in my opinion at 1850.
