My Posts This: Topic Forum | QWW is in business because Irwin has diversified his business and does not count on the income of just producing model helicopters to survive.
As far as "all" of the QWW owners that don't know what they have. I have been to flying fields all over the country this past summer, and I can honestly say I have been to 100 pilot events where not one QWW helicopter was present.
I have also been present when Irwin and members of his staff, brought machines to the flight line, several times, and never saw anything more than a shaky hover.
Most posts on the forum are from new users, first post and if I ask any kind of question based on real specifications and accepted methods of basing performance, I find my questions go unanswered.
And Irwin himself has admited in print, he doesn't fly 3D.
The current market is driven by 2 things, the ability of the machine to perform "hard" 3D (everyone want's to fly like Jason, Danny, Marcus, pick one) and customer service.
QWW needs to prove themselves by the current market standard to be considered "marketable".
Irwin has offered me a discount to try one of his helicopters, but until I see some proof of the abilties of the helicopters performance, I'm not willing to risk the cost of electronics and carbon blades to test it out.
Just an observation.
