Thanks for the pictures! For some reason I imagined that the 10S A123 packs where pretty big and heavy, but this is just perfect.

Most interesting... might have to look into those...

I see that you have fitted TP balancing plugs on those, do you use a 1010 to charge them?

Yes I use a 1010C to charge and a 210V to balance. I set the charger to a 9S setting which is 33.3 volts, maxes out at 37.8 Volts and puts back in around 2000-2100 Mah per flight, at 7-8 minutes a flight.

It takes me 40 minutes to charge at 3.5 amp, I can do 5.5 on the 1010C but my power supply cant handle it.

lloyd:

you can get them on Ebay, I paid $280 with shipping for 3 of them, the same price I paid for my 1 FP 4900 6s pack.

Lowflyer,

as far as hard 3d I can not honestly say, I can not do that yet, I can however verify 2200 head speed with a 20 tooth pinion, I can verify I hear no bogging on +12 -11 pitch pumps, and no problems with very fast climb outs.

If you have a Nicad charger you can use this [url=http://slkelectronics.com/lipodapter/index.htm]

this will allow you to use any charger that can do Nicads, and think the triton will charge up to 5 amp.

The factory A123 OEM charger will only do up to 4s from what I have read.

The 1010c is also coming out with a new firmware upgrade in a few days that will allow you to select A123 cells and charge them, as per charlie Wang in a RCgroups thread.

Here is what I suggest, Get a 1010C or Astro 109, spend alot of money on a good ac to dc power supply becasue the PC power supply I have can not handle the juice needed to charge these, I can only hit 3.6 amp safely without the PS shutting down, or hook to a car battery.

Search Ebay for the "Iota 55" its a HAM radio power supply with plenty of juice. I was told this will do 2 1010C charging 10S lipos at 1C with ease. Not sure but it should be able to handle 2 1010C maxed at 5.5 amps each

hope this helps.

The Bantam e-station 902 V3 supports charging A123 cells. I am very impressed with this charger. I had the older version of the 902 and have a 902 V3 with A123 support is on its way. Evan at RCAccessories is a great guy to deal with and I believe has these chargers in stock. I have two Dewalt packs waiting for dissection and installation in my Logo 10. Here is the link to the e-station 902 http://www.rcaccessory.com/index.as...WPROD&ProdID=34

Lloyd,

Schulze has a new chip to update their chargers for these cells. You have to give up the option of charging Li-Fe cells though.

well why not just drop 1 cell when charging? Like the fella above said. I have 2 109s and a orbit pro that will do 12s. i dont have any kind balancing setup though.

I have never heard of any emolis or A123 going outta balance tho.

Thanks for the kind words Robert. We do have th e-Station 902V3 in stock as well as the e-Station BC-8, both can handle the A123 cells.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know.

"What charger program/setting are you guys using to charge these cells? "
I'm using a Schulze 6-330D set on Li-on @5amps. No problems so far and it take arourd 45min-1hr to charge a 5S2P.
Cheap cells $$$, I bought two Dewalt packs from e-bay $210 shipped! $10.50 per-cell and a little labor.

Welcome my son, Welcome to the machine
