Synergy R/C Synergy N9 > Synergy N9 vs. Stratus (have you flown both)

I have known Todd now for 15 years live 10 miles away and taught him how to fly.I used to fly every weekend till I got out 4 years ago and I was a min rep. And back then he already exceeded me and became Min Pilot and design. He moved to Hirrobo to design and pilot and then was lured back to min.If he did not go back I don't think min would even have a stratus without he and Jason's designs. Basically what I am trying to say is that Tod and Jason were Miniature so don't underestimate their design abillities. I am now a synegery owner thanks to alot of help from Todd. Again Todd I thank you.
I have seen Todd do manuvers so extreme that you would think no heli could survive but his does. The Synergy he has been flying is almost two years old now. The machine has proved its longgevity and durrabillity in my opinion, and what a blast it is watching Todd trying his hardest to make something fail on purpose for research and development. He is litteraly trying to blow the machine up.

And yes all around from design, parts count,3d,price the 2 dont compare.
P.S. I have never seen anything fail on this 2 year old heli and I have been flying now with him for 3 months

RE: Posted by Misio: Try to contact Mujenpwr he is the only one that is not corrupted and has stratus and synergy on his shelf.

OK here is what I will say I have both machines and for me the Synergy tracks more linear than my Stratus. I have setup many machines and I am very particular in my setups. The N9 requires less input to stay in moves compared to my Stratus for me. When I fly and do my 4 points tic tocs, hurricanes fwds & bkwds the N9 eases through them. What really impressed me was the collective authority strength that the N9 has over my Stratus. I still have my Fury until full parts availablity is established. Parts are starting become in stock at dealers now. If anyone wants more in please feel free to contact me or Chuckie for info.

Thanks

Muj

I have both a Stratus & an N9. IMHO, I agree with all of Mujenpwr's comments.

The MA is a work of art & machine work...BUT...the N9 outflies it in all aspects, i.e., tracking, collective & cyclic response, speed, locking into maneuvers, & tail holding ability. The two heli's auto about the same but the N9 tail holds much better, especially in autos. It is almost impossible to blow out the tail on the N9 during powered flight & autos.

The N9 is a much easier heli to assemble & repair than the MA.

So, why do I still have the Stratus? It is a very high quality machine & looks really good after Pro Paints did an extreme paint job on the entire heli. Check out my gallery.

Overall, the N9 is the most fun heli to fly that we have had so far.

Thanks, J5. Dave from Pro Paint Works in Quartz Hill, CA can really paint. He paints custom Harleys mostly for a living but flies RC with our group & wanted to try some heli canopies. His work is fantastic.

oh, ok - we've had the same problem (broken t/r hub) with other helis over the years - more often in recent times. IMHO the current generation powerplants and flying styles are beyond the old t/r designs.

I'm counting on the more robust designs for these new helis to make this a thing of the past.

Yeah, but when it happens fairly consistently at the 50 flight mark it gets tired real quick.

...and no we're not talking about dragging stuff in the dirt or letting the stick snap back to center or any abusive crap - just plain hard flying
