My Posts This: Topic Forum | I just want to reiterate, from one guy that likes to blow crap up with big guns to another... the excitement probably won't be worth the cost of a round. It definitely won't be the sickest video ever. You only get really good destruction with turkey or buck shot, and that you can get with a $99 mossberg. I'm sure you've shot up some TV's and computers. There are already many very spectacular heli-on-heli videos out there; think about what you can add to the package. Also remember that 99% of people who see this video on youtube will have no idea how expensive that heli is. If you want to make a statement about having money to burn, you're going to have to put a few holes in that ZO6.
To the C4 camp: I've had demo training in the Army, and I've also packed some stuff with explosives for comic effect, and this is another thing that usually isn't as cool as it sounds. Explosions are FAST. Most of the cool factor in explosion videos is of what happens long after the bang. Unless you have high-speed cameras you won't see anything but a tiny puff of smoke. Some friends and I filmed a monitor packed with explosives using a high-speed 16mm camera, and we only got three really interesting frames. Everything else was either a picture of a monitor or a picture of a crater. If you have a high-speed video camera (not something you can buy in a department store but not impossible to find) you might have something.
If you can get your hands on a decent-size star mortar (like you see at the 4th of july), haul it up and trigger it with an unused radio channel, you'd have something worth looking at. Or maybe you could pull a guidewire into the air and launch an F-size model rocket into it. Or heck, strap the rocket right to the heli and see if you can recover from a jato.
