If you want to impress someone , leave yout ALS home and use a SA pistol.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Well, I'm with some others. If you are going to do this, it should be LARGE. Hitting a Heli with a round that large will of course destroy it but where's the bang? You need to pack something onto the Heli so it'll make a much larger noise and flame - lotsa flame (Nitro burns clear).

If you had something like C4 (forgive my ignorance, not being military I don't really know what I'm talking about) - something that'll explode "real good". Air burst (air fuel mixture) would be neat but I don't know how you'd time that.

You may have to do your 3D flying up front, then land and load on the extra stuff for explosive purposes.

I'll certainly watch the video.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		With all the recent school tragedies, we don't need more irresponsible games with firearms. Although I'm in NO WAY referring to the tragedies as games. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those children.
What we need is more good examples of proper firearm use.
But, If you must do it, buy something much smaller, a blade CP maybe, and be sure the trojectory of the bullet is accounted for.

If you are shooting up into the air much at all, then the .50BMG round will go a lot further than the 3000feet of the 1000 yard range.
At a 45 degree angle, a .22long will fly over a mile. I am guessing a .50 will go quite a ways further than that. No competent or sane rangemaster is going to let you do this and if he does he ought to be fired.
I am not hating on you. I think shooting stuff is great. I think you need to go out into the desert and make sure you have 1-2 clear miles of overshoot room. A 1000yard range is not enough to shoot rifle bullets up into the air.

it would be more fun if it was done with a paitball gun and maybe the heli would survive to keep on doing it more often,im sure hes going to doit where it is safe,im interested to see the video though,if you doit Bro i hope and wish that it works out just fine,try to make it as long and fun as posible and above all safe,have fun

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		look guys, there is nothing wrong with what patrick wants to do. all he says is "he wanted a good home for that heli at a very reasonable price" but he said it was a slap in the face to offer 700 for it. he has more than 1000 in just electronics. and at least another 500-600 in ex upgrades but he rather enjoy blowing it up than giving it away. the enjoyment of blowing his heli up after a day of fun with his new gun is worth every penny since money is not the problem for him.

I've known patrick for many many years and he enjoys his hobbies. his new hobby is his 50 cal. sniper rifle and he joined some contest with target range shooting (a hobby) just like our funflys and contests with helicopters.

Patrick, no matter what we do, there always will be people like this that have to hate and put their 2 sence in. these are the same guys that complain about one heli company to the next and down talk them if the release date is off or some very small issue with a newly released product. I've been watching people like this bash the newly released synergy (a great helicopter) and the soon to be realase avant aurora. go to their forums and you will see the same type of remarks made by the same type of people. We just need to take it all with a grain of salt and move on.

This thread is full of jealousy I reckon. Gees if a man wants to blow his heli out of the sky then let him do it. Seems to be well qualified and has safety a first attitude and nothing illegal. Just enjoy the show fella's
