Broken finger

I was flying my blade 400 doing some light hovering. The heli stopped responding to radio inputs and flew towards me. I reacted and put out my hand to prevent it from hitting me.

The main rotor blade gashed the 4th digit on my right hand. I went to the hospital to get stiched up and asked for an Xray. I'd broken a few bones in the past and knew this finger was broken. It was a clean break to the bone above the knuckle.

After 6 weeks in a splint and some good times at physio therapy I decided to fix up the heli. I was troubleshooting the loss of radio signal and swaped out the receiver with a new one. Turns out the main antenna wire inside the transmitter (Dx6i) had disconnected from the circuit board. I pluged it back in and it was good to go.

Not sure what the reasoning is behind not soldering this antenna wire to the pcb; it would have saved me a lot of grief. Funny how it came off mid flight. My guess is it came lose during shipping or was never properly connected to the pcb in the first place.
