. You want to be stuck using the pino servos that aren't available in the US?
Have dremel. Will grind frames for fitting servos I have on hand if needed.

(note the hs81's dremeled into my trex SE in my gallery )

anyone notice the rotor head on this thing looks just like a logo 10, and the frame looks like a logo 14?

well the pino servos are very small, from what I heard, you can't make the openings big enough for other servos.

IF that is the case, I will design my own servos to use in it (literally)

I highly doubt it. Anyone ever tried cirrus 4.2 gram servos in it yet? How about those metal tiny ones? I can think of like 5 tiny servos off the top of my head that I could probably get to fit, even if I have to do some dremeling. I can get any of the tiny futaba servos on hand too.

Why are you so scared of modification? IF you tell me I can't use anything BUT the pino servos, I'll have to prove otherwise.

Fung should have one shipped out to me any day now. Got the BL motor for it too.

I'll be damned if I NEED those "pino" servos

well thats why the pro was made, because of the servo issue. there was a thread on this board and there is a 116 page thread on rcgroups. I looked at lots of servos and all were too wide.

also, only certain battery packs will fit in the mini zoom frame and it doesn't come with the one way bearing main gear which makes flight smoother, when you factor everything in, you might as well get the pro, the original mz wasn't the best design hence the pro version.

Sweet. We'll see how the original works. If need be, I'll upgrade to the pro Atleast I'll have extra rotor head parts on hand if I do so.

I've been over boyds' build thread on rcg a few times already as well.
I Should be able to get the stock version to work. We'll find out soon

you can use the cirrus 4.2 servos I tryed in my, but they dont center I also tryed 3.6 blue arrow and they dont center either now Im using the walkera 52 servos and they are a lot better and they cost $20 for 3 servos, for the tail hs50 and Align gyro with micro wire only weight 6 grams

someone on the other forum said the new standard kits have slightly wider openings to fit more servos, don't know if the 99 dollar kit from flying hobby is the new one though, I'd suspect not.

no the pro version is completely open, you can fit the normal hs65's in there if you want, the new plastic one can fit more servos though.

"Hey Guys - I bought a new Mini-Z (for parts) from infinity-hobby and it came with the new micro servos that replace the Pico servos. They fit in the original frame! I have not tried them yet, but will this weekend and report back."

Anyone try using a 3s battery in the flying hobby pro light deal yet? Wondering which pinion to use. What head speed are you guys running inside the house and outside the house?

Hope I get lucky and get a wider servo hole version.
I dug up a phoenix 10, 3 hs 55 servos and 3cirrus 4.2 servos, and I have a few servos to try on the tail. Will be using GWS 6ch rx. (super light, and I have had good luck with them on my trex SA)

I also used a CSM HLG LW gyro on my trex SA, and I could get it to do some wimpy piro flips etc. Will probably use a CSM HLG LW on this heli too.

If I'm lucky, the heli will show up today

That is my first intention dude!
You gotta pick one of these up! The cute factor alone is enough to convince the wife

the thing looks exactly like a logo 10 rotor head and a logo 14 frame!

Good news! I can definatley grind things away to fit gws pico servos and probably hitec hs50 or hs55's.
