I'm using a 13t pinion with the align 430L, you can find a 12 tooth which was good when I was starting off.. Icarious or somthing.. 2.3 mm Anything 2.3 mm should work.. There isn't a certain pinion you must use, it depends on your throttle curve, and the feel that you like. I like fast... Headspeed is awesome.. Still using 325 woodies..

I have a 2100 20c 3s lipo
hacker motor a20-6xl 2500KV
castle phoenix 45
325mm align blades

I have been fight with 5 minute run times, based of the equipment I have I am pulling 25 amps.

I bought this heli used and I took it apart today and I see it has a 16t pinion

from what I am reading this is my probelem,

IS THIS THE PROBLEM,,,it reads like I should have a 11 or 12t pinion

pinion gear. I'm amazed it didn't melt
your motor and lipo.

I run a 11 tooth. (stock 6 pole motor)

138t main gear/16t pinion = 8.6 (20,000rpm/8.6=2325rpm)

head speed of 2325

am I missing something
