you think i'd just say it for the hell of it Chris
the Vid doesnt do it justice, being there was REALLLLLLLLLLLLLy cool. Matt Botos demo on friday was sicka s well, but Nigle out did him. I think that in Matt's flight he did THREE blades stops.

man curtis was joking with me before we walked up to do his flight that he would crash. He cant be out done, when any body pulls off a good flight before him it gets the youngblood craziness going. hehe thats when I step back a little. I just didnt think he was gonna land it.

Alan's crash was due to the battery connector not being plugged into the switch all the way. He had trimmed off a Futaba tab connector on the battery end and pushed it into a Airtronics switch connector. The result is always in a tight fit if you don’t put the bevel on it. Well after we took the canopy off, I pushed the connector together all the way and the power all came back.

I just watched the video and it sure looked to me like the helicopter was under full control right into the dirt... Which is more likely, that the battery connector pulled loose just milliseconds before the impact, or the impact pulled the battery connector loose? Geez... just admit the guy made a mistake for god's sake? We're all human... It was a fantastic flight in any event!

cobras in scale

the cobra was popular this year but what i love about scale is they were all different so they never got boring to look at. there were three big apaches there too and man were they impressive, especially Wayne's.
there were two electric entries in scale this year and many many in the noon demos and night flying. people, electrics are here!! two of the three cobras in the scale contest were electrics and one weighed over 20 lbs. people, electrics are here!!

Lipos just dont' catch fire on their own. Im 100% certain that Raptor was being charged when the lipo went up. It was being overcharged.
Otherwise Lipos would be classified as highly dangerous goods.

This was my first IRCHA and I had a blast!

And what better way to attend my first IRCHA than to be the first ticket drawn for the raffle and have my choice of the goodies on the table!

A bunch of people could not understand why I did not pick the Stratus kit or the Logo kit or ............

Hey, I could pack the Lepton for the plane ride home!

My wife even wants to go next year.........so I will see you all again next year!
