There are several Avants flying, but no Aurora to be found. Alan and Danny haven't been around much either. My guess is they are wrenching (not good if they are still building) or test flying somewhere (we hope so). Rumor has it that it "might fly on Saturday, maybe". I'd love to see it fly, and IRCHA is the place for them to show it off, but I'm not getting my hopes up of it actually happening. Tired of being disappointed! At this point we haven't even seen a video of the thing yet.

"it hasn't flown yet, but it's ready to fly"

"Alan and Danny finished their Aurora last night and Alan spent all day until the afternoon testing them at a local field. Alan went to the IRCHA event and did a couple of real nice demo flights. There should be some videos comming out soon. Danny's seems to be ready too and I think Setevie's, Mike Wilson, Steven Gerrard and Marcus Kim's are also close to completion so maybe we will be able to see some additional Auroras at the field tomorrow."

Nice to see shots of our Canuck pilot, Colin Bell! That's his Raptor 90 with the blue on top, white in the middle and orange on the bottom.

Looks like a great place to be. I'll have to start going to these events - they look like an awesome time.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		There was a second lipo fire that happened first thing Saturday morning.

One of the pilots had a Raptor 50 and 2 Avants in his mini van on a wooden carpet covered shelf in the rear. All 3 helis used 2100mAh lipo Rx packs.

The pack in the Raptor 50 suddenly burst into flames and WASN'T being charged at the time. When I got to the van the owner had opened the sliding door and was pushing the burning heli out the back by the tail boom. We used water the put the fire on the headliner and shelf carpet out and my fire extinguisher to put out the plastic Raptor and fiberglass canopy.

The Raptor was almost a complete loss, but the Avants came out unharmed. The van suffered a toasted headliner and smoke damage but that was about it. He was driving it on Sunday!

All in all it was a lucky thing that the owner was close by and got the van unlocked before it was too late and that there were two lipo fires at the event with no injuries!

Don't come off the throttle untill you see your GOD!
