Scooter, my hat off to you! After a year looking for video footage on the Parkmite you finally came through!

Although I'm still not sure you were flying the Parkmite or the cute little two year old (Didn’t she have a controller in her hand as well??)

Looks like the little Parkmite can withstand a bit of wind as well. Let us know how it works out with the inverted flying, etc.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I used to fly a Shogun lots of upgrades and high head speeds.

I'm using the same motor in my parkmite JGF 400H so powers not an issue. Since I only do mild aerobatics I'm after weight savings and lower head speeds to minimize crash damage just like a blade CP.

I am very happy with the Parkmite. this was my first ever CCPM heli in 20 years of heli flying and it flew rock solid off the bench with only half turn for blade tracking. Absolutely no tinkering what so ever. very smooth running geartrain.

I'm currently trying differant blades, Night ranger 3D were fine but heavy with ground stikes, I am in the process off justing cuting the end length of my 280 MS composite blades from the shogun and end capping similar to NHP fame. They are definately the lightest weight of all composite blades I've ever run on my Shogun.

It will get me along ways down the road before its ever replaced.....

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		HOw much smaller than a trex450 is this? I need something smaller than my trex to fly in my backyard. Is this that much smaller? And can you really fly it like a trex or is it more of a toy?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		i just put a eflite ducted fan 400 3500kv outrunner in mine with a 12t pinion governed to 2200 head (2600 wide open) with no obvious bog.excellent vertical performance and incredable response. this is far from a toy.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		The Parkmite is about the same size as a Blade CP/CPpro. It is an all metal version for the most part and I'm sure it could 3D.

Mine has the JGF 400H motor which was on my Shogun which was more than adequate for 3D work. I'm not sure the tail is up to 3D work yet. Blades seem soft for aggressive piro. I puts some c/f one on and felt much better. I'm using 90% gain HH on a CSM 420 no wiggle.......

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have flown the parkmite inverted. I did a full review in the dec/jan issue of RC heli magazine, and there is a picture of it inverted, just inches off the grass. I like the way it flies, but with the stock setup that horizon recomends (eflite 370 4100kv) it leaves a little to be desired in terms of performance. it flies nice, but not 3d capable with the power system I flew

wow, 2008 was a crappy year! Oh well, I'm goin flying :)

That is the same motor i am using and got the feeling it did not have the power i was looking for before i started to flip it. Do you know of any other motor combinations that are working well in the ParkMite ?

since i swapped the eflite 370 for a eflite hacker 3700kv i'm having problems with the gear meshing for some reason even though i'm using the same size 10t pinion.i can't understand for the life of me why it seems like is not the same modulus wich i believe to be 0.4.it is a different pinon though.maby i should try the one i used with the first motor.why didn't think of that?anyway i'm looking for a shorter can outrunner and i couldn't find the H version of the JFG so i got the DH 4400kv instead.haven't had a chance to see if it fits yet since the space between the motor mount and front skids support if very limited.might need to do something about that.a little grinding maby.i'm still seraching though for a more suitable motor since this seems to be intended for a slightly heavier aircraft.maby to hungry for amps.i have my eye on a kontronic micro dancer but i can't find any specs as to what the OD diameter of the case is.there is also a very cheap(24 bucks)outrunner on helidirect's site with supposedly 98% efficiency that might seem suitable but i really doubt the efficiency percentage and in general cheap stuff.maby it will turn out to be a winner.

I stand corrected I do have the 400DH heli motor. It fits within the frames nicely and I needed to only enlarge both holes in heatsink slightly to get a wider hole pattern to mate to motor. The frames were left unaltered.

The Parkmite comes with 4 pinions I started with 11T because I wanted longer duration on smaller pack, I got 8 minutes on a 910 3s TP Prolite.

This motor can turn MScomposite or SAB or Hyperion 280mm c/f blades from my shogun up to 3000 Headspead using a 1320 3s Prolite.

It will have no problem turning MS composite Hornet blades of 225mm in that range for 3d work. I think stock tail blades for aggresive #D is going to need work as they feel soft in stops with the 11T

The supplied pinions in the kit are of a soft plastic and press fit nicely to the JGF motor. I already did a test to destruction of the pinion and it worked great that the pinion gear stripped and the main delrin gear is unharmed. I think I would stick with this material match up versus brass.

I'll be trying the 12T next.......

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		i was contemplating the 280mm blades only i was affraid the root might be too thick for the blade grips.thx for the info.i have replaced the stock LG with a thicker stronger one(venom night ranger)and i might need to sand a little bit from it but i think it will work after that.the motor i'm using now it's only 24mm in diameter vs 26mm the jfg is and almost touches the LG.the problem i had with the stock pinions was that after a couple of flights on the e-flite 370 that got pretty hot it became brittle and shatered at some point.they mesh perfect and protect the main gear but if they collapse in flight as it happened i'll be always fearfull.the pinions that came with the e-flite motor meshed nicely too,i think the one i'm trying to use now it's not one of them that might be the problem.slight difference in the modulus though it's hard to see it but you can feel by the vibrations and sound.i haven't finished tinkering yet and experimenting.i like the gyro tray and the way you mounted the rx.i'm still working on mine,haven't found the happyest set up yet.

i was able to install the jfg motor but there is one slight problem.the shaft is 2.3mm instead of 2mm as i believed it to be and all the pinions i have,the stock and eflight are 2mm bore.i wonder if the jfg 400DH that C/F is using is what i believe to be an older version since it's blue on top instead of black as mine is,and has a 2mm shaft.since it is possible to use the stock pinions.i am sort of dissapionted since i was hopeing to have it ready to fly tonight with the new powertrain.do you guys have any ideea where i might be able to find some pinions that will fit the shaft and module?

i meant to ask C/F and BUSTED BLADE since they are using different motors than the one suggested by the manufacturer regarding the provenience of the pinions they are using.if they are 2.3 bore that is.little parky still crippled sitting by the window looking outside at his larger siblings rex and lepton having all the fun.

i did realise after i wrote the message that are using the eflite 370 inrunner so i tried to correct it in the next post.i meant to ask busted blade.

thx busted blade i'll try to get some sjm pinions since i believe the motors used are 2.3mm shaft.i got so many pinions already and they are either the right module and the wrong bore or vice versa.i'm still wondering how c/f was able to use a 2mm bore pinion on his JFG DH400.maby my presumtion was right and his version being older or different at least in colour came with a 2mm shaft.i haven't given up yet.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		well SEVERED SCOOTER thx for taking the time answer.i ended up enlarging the bore of an eflite 10t and for the time being it seems to hold even though i used a 2.4mm drillbit since that was the closest i had and used some red locktite.i hope it's not going to quit on me while in flight.i hit idle up by mistake while it was on the ground and to my surprise after i calmed down neither the pinion has sliped nor the main gear suffered any dammage.the litle punk just shot up in the air pretty quick.the motor seems to have a lot of power.too bad about the pinions.
