I'll have to drag your butt down for a day. There's a bunch of great guys here. The section of the field that you fly from is wide and long enough to support a few helis at a time. The rest is nice tall "soft" grass for those unexpected landings.

Nose in inverted is easy now. In a few years I'll work on tail in

Brown spots on the field, and TED

Ted is pretty irate about brown spots (dead grass), on the field. I told him we will turn our muffler deflectors to the side instead of straight down, compramise yes, but I am starting to get annoyed at him because he has some bad people skills. I hope you guys aren't mad that I told him we would do this without checking with you all, but I figured it was a small thing and it wouldn't matter that much.

He probably keeps seeing that same really big spot right next to the picnic table where someone with a plank must have ran a tank full of fuel through. Did you see any spots that would have made him say this?

I can rotate the diverters without a problem but I'm not so sure this is the real issue. I also not so sure it's us either after noticing that really big spot.

Can someone get some plywood or carpet sections to the field? They would need to be about 3 to 4 foot square.

Ted

I was at the field, and Ted did show me the brown spots and I think it is from us. The turning of the exhaust deflector was his and Scott, the nice club members idea. If it doesn't work, we will figure it out I'm sure.

In the better news department, I tracked down my vibration problem to the blade grips and got a new set today, 12.95 and 11.95 shipping, from Ricks, Ouch next time kiss me first, I cant sit down.

But it is back together and hovers smoothley..

Talk to everyone later, Tom

Tom,

Do you know af anywhere that we can get some carpet remnants? They're nice and heavy so they don't blow around when you takeoff and land on them.

Turning the deflectors will help I'm sure. Having a piece of carpet on the ground during fueling would help in the case of a fuel spill.

Then at the end of the season we could set them on fire!

Ive got a piece of new carpet from a replacement I had done. Its not very large though. Its about 19 inches by 6 feet. As Great for takeoff, just end all landings with a auto and no problems.

Thanks
Anthony

Anyone interested in a bulk fuel purchase? I have a source for CY WildCat 30%. I'm currently making arrangements for two cases.

$20.00/gallon at 2 cases. I'm having the shipping costs to my shop estimated. The more we get, the better the price

I'll be there with my two EVO50's and the Rex.

I finished the Copperhead Avaition Stiffy YAK (plank) so that'll be in the air as well.

I plan on being there around 10:00 or so.
