Based on your surge data, the CC-45A ESC should be enough for the Hyperion 10T..., right?

Thanks,
Rick

Sounds like it should. Remember that I'm running 4s emoli. Maybe a high C rated Lipo will "push" current a little faster. But my guess is it would work just fine, especially if you're not pushing high load maneuvers continuously.

Frittslogic,

Sounds like you are leading edge on Lepton batteries so let me ask you a question or two. I pretty much found (if you have seen any of my videos "Bang my Heli" stuff) the T-Rex config using the Jazz40 and 4S on 11T or 12T with separate BEC.

I am getting a lepton and thinking at 900-1000 kev I will go 5S and still be able to use the Jazz40 (motor I have in mind pulls 38A continuous and bursts to 48 - so specs say it should work - esp. with a Y adapted 3.5A Medusa BEC like I run on all my Rex's).

What batteries will fit in this thing in the 5S category, where can I get them, what mah, etc... You can PM me offline if it's too lengthy.

Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S. - Does 9650's on cyclic and 401/9254 combo sound like it will work? Also PPS - what size blades and whose are you using? Any SAB's in the Lepton range?

Mike

A 5s setup with a 900-100kv motor will produce way too much headspeed. You are looking at a HS of over 4000 with that setup. You would need a pinion in the range of 16t-18t but unfortunately none are currently available.

Not with the Jazz. I can dial it down to 10% flat line throttle and it is just as efficient (and the governor works even better!)

But yes, you are correct - 4000 is what I calculate if I were to use the full 90% flat line available. Maybe I will and wear a catchers mask for the hell of it

Update, I've added a pictorial on how I build the 4S1P emoli stick packs as requested by a few of you. Hope it helps other adventurous souls out there! Check out my website for it.
