Hey T-Rex pilot WELCOME TO
OCHC

To become a member of OCHC you must show up from time to time Follow 3 rules 1 dont fly over the building or the pits 2 DONT HIT ME WITH YOUR HELI 3 give back to the club in some way. There is not much else. Our members are out at Suzuki every weekend some Sundays we could have 30 guys out there. When OCHC has events we can have 100 members out there. It seems like we pull members from all over SOCAL.

Id like to know from our members how far you drive to get to OCHC I myself are 2 miles from the field

Also as new members join Please add OCHC to your signiture so we can continue to grow and other members can find other members on RR thanks Damian

I'm 36 miles. Anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour one way depending on traffic. Sucks too because, I can't speed anymore for about a year or something like that.

I just want to let everyone know that Damian did last week. I called the big guy and asked him how to program some stuff on a DX6 radio (new kid with new heli), and in 15 minutes he drove out just to help us program it. WHAT A GUY!! Thanks D!

How have you been Eddie ?

Yeah it was a bad crash I had 7 -8 people over at the park by my house and I was whiping it around tuning in my gyro then I yelled at hector then flipped it over inverted set for a couple seconds then I shut off the motor and glided down inverted, hector almost fell over in shock everyone was freaking out I was laughing . Pulled it off perfect .
Then my friend chad was bugging me to do it again so I did it went perfect all accept I was drifting a little sideways and I was nose in with my tail facing about 1:00 drifting away from me and to the right .
Right when everyone thought the trick was over BAM Parts went everywhere . It makes a mess when you slam a 50 into the grass . I saw Curtis Y doing them and thought it was the best part of his show . I practiced them on the sim like 4 times . It's not that hard for how crazy it looks . The cost of the crash is the only thing that scares me . I added up the parts and it was over $180.00 so I decided to just pick up another C5 then I can part the old one togather using after market trick parts you know how I roll . That's how I ended up with 2 t rex se's and 1 xl . I had to sell one of my se's to buy the C5 but it will be worth it when I have them both up and running .
I hear there is a air field that has real tall grass that if you crash sometimes your heli makes it without a scratch . I need to go there to practice my crashing. lol Now I just need a gravity switch .

TTYL

Jason As far as member goes I have done a lot for the heli world when I met hector he was messing with a clapped out shogun in hobby people bouncing off the cabenets in the store. Then I set up a t rex XL for him and he was stoked then I moded the xl slowly into a se . Then I set up a Raptor for him and got 3-4 other people adicted to heli's
Now my whole house is full of heli's . I am still working on building and tuning helis for Hector, Norm ,Jimmy,Aaron,Dave,Larry and anyone else who wants to get into it . So that is my contibution to the clube Im a sucker for set up . I like to hook peoples heli's up and make it happen for them . I end up using most of my own parts.
But it all comes around when I need a part later . I have more parts than ultimate anyways lol . I have a lot of rare humming bird and ms composit hornet parts.
I live off Anahim Hills rd and Santa Ana Canyon rd I think it's like 3-4 miles away maybe I'm not sure . Map quest time .

My best tricks are when I mess up . Oh look you missed it !

I've been good, thanks. Sounds like a plan. I want a 50 too, but those big blades (scary) and crash prices keep me from doing so, hahahaha.

Yes Eddie, we met briefly a couple of Sundays back. I was there with a Draganflyer (4 prop UFO looking thing), T-Rex with the custom shark canopy, and one with US Patriotic canopy.

I think you were tooling at the time, checking your frequency monitor, we might have talked briefly about a DSC cord alternative.

you cant go if you cant spell it You'll get lost! Besides that, you are as bad as me..... gotta work!!!
As for you eddie, I didnt see it but I did hear it! You gotta stop beating up that poor Rex! Are you out of parts yet? Dont let a larger rotor span scare you, 50's are actually much more stable than the rex, and no where near as twitchy. Try it youll like it
