My Posts This: Topic  Forum		It's smaller than a 30, but bigger than a Trex 450. You cannot go wrong with Hirobo. A bit pricey, yes, but it will need zero upgrades, unlike a Trex. It can run on 4s lipos and it's small enough so you don't need to be at a flying field to fly it. I would not dare take a 30 or 50 size heli (gas or electric) to a public park.

Get yourself one of these!

It is inbetween a 30 and a Trex. 890mm main rotor diameter.
Costs just a bit more than a Trex to setup. Quality of this heli and parts are impeccable. No upgrades what so ever needed to perform. And flies as smooth as a 30 sized machine.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I have a QJ8. It's a REAL nice heli, and there are some upgrades for it like carbon frames, longer mainshft, and it already comes with the slow down tail gear and beefy tail rotor setup.
The only drawback with the QJ8 that I can see is if you plan to absolutely push or surpass the envelope. Here the skinny mainshaft of the QJ8 might come up short, BUT, I've read about an 8MM shaft in the works.
For everything but the most crazy high headspeeds the QJ8 IS a great deal.
For all out 3D in THIS size the Lepton might be a little better, but I also think the 8 can be made to fly as well for less.
There's another killer heli in this size, the A-Plus I think that looks really killer too.

This is going to be THE machine in the Trex+/sub-30 class.

It is so well done, so light, so simple, so Hirobo, it blows
EVERY other machine out of the water.

one 7S1P 3000mah lion pack runs $100 on ebay and power the Swift 30-sized with authority for 7-8minutes.

one 12S1P 3000mah lion pack at $180 will power a Raptor 50 for 8-9minutes and will put the nitro engine to shame.

I own both and converted my nitro's because of this one battery breakthrough.

They also charge at 3C which is about 17-18minutes per pack.

Built like old nicad's and can withstand a beating.

In-flight boom strike, blades wacked my pack and launched it over 100 feet. Pack is fine and still flying with it.

... But honey it was only $$$
