You do not need the 3-in-1 part, but you could use the Blade Cp or Cp2 Tx and receiver... no problems....

you need 1 more servo for the tail, a gyro and a Esc for the main motor.

But it make better sense to me to sell the 4-in-1 and buy a E-flite or Esky RX...

http://www.helidirect.com/product_i...products_id=662

15$ and will match the E-flite and Esky Tx...

You also have to remember that the swash moves opposite from the blade to produce positive and negative collective. It's not enough to reverse the servo on the TX. You have to actually open up the servo and swap the wires on the servo to reverse it and which one you reverse all depends on which servo you hook up to the receiver. In the right rear spot I believe (don't remember exactly what he all had to do). You can remove the receiver portion from the 4-in-1 and use that but the speed controller is not enough for the main motor on the king. It pulls way to many amps for that speed controller to be comfortable. You can't use the gyro on the 4-in-1 and the second speed controller is not needed.

So you can use the servos, tx, and receiver from 4-in-1 but you will have to physically modify a servo, remove the receiver from the 4-in-1, and you will still not have the optimal setup.

I've found that the kink is so responsive that even in standard mode I've had to dial in -25 expo on the entire swash and -40 on the tail for me to be comfortable flying it around. The idle up settings are also not great for the king. But it's up to anyone who wants to try it to do so. I know one person has done it. Don't know if they are still flying it that way or not.

LostSoul, about the servos, my Honey Bee Cp2 and King servos are in the same position ... and all the Blade Cp I see too... really dont know what you are talking about.... I had to reverse some servos with my new GWS Rx, but thats all... moving the electronics of a Cp2/Cp to a bigger frame is no big deal...

Use the blade tx. have fun. I'm not going to go back and forth on that. Cheap electronics in a heli like this is not a good idea.

The stock motor on the king sucks and will require an upgrade to brushless for any fun anyway (pretty much goes with all these larger heli's) and you're not going to want to fly it on the stock tx then. It took me only 2 weeks on the brushed motor before I plopped down the $100 for the brushless upgrade. The Blade TX does not have enough programming features to make flying it on a brushless setup even remotely safe. Maybe for an expert pilot but I sure would not try it. A computer radio is a must for this heli in my opinion.

yes, once the winds die down I hope to show what the heli can do with the brushless upgrade, at least as much as my abilities go. I've yet to see a video of the king doing acrobatics other than the e-sky one and I really don't know why that is either. There are lots of people I know of doing acrobatics on it.
