My Posts This: Topic Forum | Well, if you think "crash" is a non-sayable word for heli, then why not get a 90 sized heli (either electric & nitro will be fine) which is much more enjoyable than a smaller size heli in many sense.
The reason forbiding people going for a larger heli is the "crash cost" (running cost as well). I have seen many people got a 90 size heli and not long after sold it since the cost is higher than what they expect.
If you look at other forum discussing the pros and cons of getting a 90 size heli, you definitely will see many people mention the "crash cost". There have been numerous discussion like this before, so I don't think this thread is any different.
In my opinion, not mentioning the running cost and crash cost is an irresponsible attitude, crashing my Raptor50 is a lot of different from crashing my Fury Extreme, also crashing a mircroheli is very different from crashing a 50 size eheli, you don't have to actually crash one to know, there have been many people crashing their heli before and share their experience with you. It is always good to know all the issues before you actually get one, isn't it?
I may get a 50 size eheli, haven't decided due to a very fundamental reason of getting a TRex45, that is I don't have to drive out very far to a big field to fly, I can just fly it in front my house. But for a 50 size eHeli, I can't do that, I have go to the field that we fly nitro, then I don't really see the point of flying a 50 size eHeli than trashing my 90 size nitro since the fun of flying such large heli is very good, better than a smaller heli regardless what the power source is. And yes, I have flown a Logo14 several times, my friend got one and let me trash it several times, but we both stop flying his Logo14 for quite a while, instead we still fly 90 Nitro quite a lot. Maybe we should get an Ion to try, but you know the complaint well already - the battery cost.
I don't want to be a basher on the eheli, in fact, I myself have had many micro-eheli and still running two, I think it is fun to play,it gave me different feeling than a larger nitro, but it is always good to know what the issue might be getting any new heli. |
