Hello recently buy a Raptor V2 whit tt39 engine,Fut 7chp radio, futaba 401 gyro/9254 servo, four fut. 9001 servos, light padles and Helimax carbon main blades. i configure the idle up well, but my question is ¿this heli is right for inverted hover and learning some others 3d manouvers?, can i upgrade the engine or the thunder tiger is right for this heli, many people says that raptor 50 is the best for 3d fliying is this true?,my V2 heli can handle 3d well? or i need more upgrades..
i want to hear some comments..
thanks.

I'm charging batteries....

I learned nearly all my 3D stuff on my R30 V2 with an OS-32 engine.

I'm considering just bumping the engine up to an OS-37 but I may just stretch the hole thing to a 50, not sure yet. Doesn't really matter, I'm flying the R90 now anyway.

Anyway... to answer you question... that engine with that heli is capable of doing 3D, but it will bog the engine quite a bit, so be careful. Start your move higher up until you get good an comfortable with it.

It will teach you excellent collective management!

Go easy on the collective and you might like to consider a governor.

Or even better, drop in the OS37 and you got a champ. Use 30% Magnum fuel or equivalent and you'll enjoy it because the pucker factor is very low.

helichulo is correct.

The TT39 engine and the OS-32 will both bog like crazy.
It's the power to weight ratio... kind of sucks a little.

It will teach you GREAT collective management tho... so don't worry to much.

Make sure you are running about +/- 9 degrees of pitch in idle up and about 7 degrees of cyclic pitch.

Run your head speed around 1900 RPM and that might help some.

Hope that helps!

30% nitro and a tuned pipe (Hatori full pipe) did wonders for mine. I reduced the rates to 70%, ran 2000 head speed and ran the red dampers, green paddles and carbon blades. Worked great. Does have its limits but will do most things with a bit of collective/pitch management.
As has been mentioned, if you deck it, costs stuff all to repair.
