Guys, I'm waiting for confirmation of what I can or cannot say about this. We received confirmation at the end of April that the model would be shown at Sandown. I have seen the model, it is ready and flying and booked on a plane for the UK this evening. However final decision of whether or not they get on that plane in the hands of the Thunder Tiger Charirman. This rests on whether he wants to have the model previewed at Sandown or whether he wants it shown somewhere else. If it is here or somewhere else I will let you know.
We understand that there is a lot of anticiption for this model to be shown at Sandown, we have made our recomendations accordingly and await the outcome.

Saturday Sunday the model will be seen and flown. The head of Thunder Tiger Europe will be available in person to answer any questions about their helicopter.

Please remember, FlightPower is a battery company, we supply premium performance batteries to a substantial and growing number of distrubutors around the world from our base in Malaysia for many makes of RC Helicopters including this one. It is not my place to be answering for Thunder Tiger or any other manufacturer about thier products. Only 2 days to go and these questions can be directed to the company, in person at the show.

We are exited about what is happening with electric power and we are grateful for the opportunity to be associated in any way to these developments, however our role is purely in respect to the battery technology.

I'm surprised that the release will be in Europe! Do they expect the biggest market in the UK?

Yep I saw it earlier today, the head is very similar to the raptor 30/50's we all know and love... The frame set is made from carbon and it looks to be a well balanced set up. I didn't have a camara with me, but lots of people took shoots so i'm sure someone will chip in with some pics soon.

I also believe they had planned to fly it some point this afternoon, but with the weather being as it was and lack of other interesting stands to look at I left early.

A bit more info.

Three versions will be available, 550mm, 600mm and a 620mmSE. The motor is mounted as far a possible from the electronics, with a very large battery tray, which can take loads of combinations. The eCCPM design is very interesting. It looks to have lots of common parts with the Raptor 30/50, great if you have both IC's and electric. I have been told there are only 7 parts different, I suspect these are very major parts ;-)

Very impressive in the air (in very unfavourable conditions).

I have a Raptor 30 and 50 and if I was looking for a 600mm size electric machine this would be worth the wait because of the shared parts.

Whoa, TT has come up with a new product that is more than new decals and boom! Has Hell actually frozen over?

Looks pretty good, looks like they retained the head, and everything from the boom back. Any word on motor/battery combos for it? Are they going to be offering their own motors and batteries?

Sorry, I don't know, it's not a TT model. They had a number of new models on the FlightPower stand, and the list has disappeared from Midland Helicopters website
