My Posts This: Topic Forum | Had a few similar things happen to me, but I was the seller in both cases.
1) Lost in the mail. Right away, knowing full well that it was lost in the mail (I was stupid enough then not pay the extra pennies for a tracking #) I refunded the cash.
It hurt, but what can you do ?
As the seller, you have the obligation to get your product to the doorstep of the buyer. If it does not get there, you, the seller, take it up with the post/courier.
2) USPS full-on played toss-the-parcel-and-stomp-on-it-with-my-300lb-body... an Alfa corsair plank. Poor little plane was in pieces. Buyer was devasted as he was looking forward to flying it. I'm choked because the sale went bad. I ended up ....... and listen to this Kirrajas because you may get YOUR money/value back for the lost heli ........
... I sent the buyer $219 via paypal with the header "Purchase Alfa Corsair upon delivery Receipt" .... and in the details, I listed the condition and what it was.
....Then he sent the money back to me.
With that 'paypal' receipt, the buyer then went to the post office and filled out the damaged form... 2 weeks later he got that amount in a cheque and bought a new one.
I lost a few bucks but everyone was happy.
There are always ways to make things right.
You are the seller. It is YOUR responsibility to compensate the BUYER, regardless if the item is damaged or lost in the mail.
Imagine if you order a heli from www.****.com and you send the money.
A few weeks roll by and no heli. You call/email them and they say they sent it. At that point, they refund your money and/or send you a new one and THEY deal with the post/courier for compensation.
Your responsible. Deal with it.
