He was going lower, lower lower and the ground jumped and caught it
Check out this picture the instant it was simply too low not to hit.
I think Mark has some video of it as well as several other Alan flights with one of Ray's Avant. He also got Ray's flights and Tyler's too. Can't wait to see the videos.
Thanks to everyone who attended and especially Mark and family. The event turned out to be an outstanding one with 2 beautiful days and a lot of great pilots. Jerry Haney of Grant Alabama was the proud winner of the 12z raffle. Once again cant thank everyone enough for making this such a success.
THe night flying was fun as well.. we had some probs in the beginning but it all got worked out too bad it was raining Sat night.. Teeroy and I were the only ones left after the rain quit so we did what we could

I see there was some amazing flying at that funfly.
I watch that video of Alan and I wonder what kind of flying saucer did he get off from when he arrived on earth
Alan must be taking it easy with those 2 new birds of his. I have personally seen him do way better routines with his former Raptor 90SEs. Maybe cause he wasnt worried about crashing a Raptor??
I agree it looks very tight. I like them tight. To me it just looks like a heavy flying heli (Synergy). Hard to say without flying it though. And maybe the fast servos on his Raptor made it respond faster.
And of course he (Alan) could fly a piece of plywood well.
