I just got a set of the wide, thick struts from RC-helitech. My initial thought was these are a little big and gonna make the bird look like a pig. And, the pictures kinda don't do them justice. They do look kinda fat.

But, honestly in the air they look fine. And, boy---talk about solid. This thing is a rock. a good push on the fuse on stock struts or on the standard rchelitech struts induced quite a wobble--actually made it difficult to initialize the GY401 properly. with the new struts I literally had to kick this thing to try to get it to wobble....and it just skittered across my patio.

nice upgrade, IMO.

pictures in my gallery.

Disclaimer: i do know the manufacturer (RCRacer)--just from runryder. but, i have no financial stake in his venture. Just a tester of his products.

if it ain't broke…break it.

Not sure on the looks though. They do look very big, but so long as they do the job. After seeing your last vid of testing the skids Im sure these are great lol.

my thoughts exactly as i pulled them out of the packaging, right on through the installation.

but, they are growing on me. i think maybe i'm just used to the old stance. it does look good in the air.

oh, and it flies the same--great.
