What is the reason for the second linkage on the throttle??? I am in the process of building mine and I thought that only one would be needed??

Some people like the extra security of the second pushrod on the throttle. It's not a necessity. Throttle linkages don't generally require a lot of torque to move. With that upper link bent like a banana, I wouldn't think you'd expect it to add rigidity to the system as in the push-pull setup on the rest of the controls.

heli-cuzz,,,I noticed you have some holes in your black windscreen letting the white plastic show thru,,,a quick fix is a black permanent marker . Just color them in untill you get a new sticker,,, I also use crasy glue to hold the edges down if there is a place for air ito get in it will keep ripping the hole bigger,,,

Thanks for the compliments.

I knew somebody would ask me about the landing gear. I actually made those struts from 1/8"x3/4" aluminum from the local home store, and then heated them up and got them to the point where they would bend, but not to easy(overheat, weakens the aluminum). Got them shaped and leveled out. Then used the skids from my old Mavrikk Metal Super Gear that has been crashed 3 times and bent every which way.

Their not installed backwards, they just don't have a curve or forward angle to them. Just straight bends. I was actually surprised how well they held up. I had a couple of hard touch and go's this weekend and they didn't bend like my old ones. Of course, like I said, they've been bent a million times, so they were weak.

The family is growing slowly.

I decided to pretty much standarise and streamline my heli identity colors, so came up with this combination.

Both cal30's are os 37 with hatori pipes, both Trex's are v2 Se, and one caliber 5 for now.

This pic was taken at the LHC notice the background items

painting

What materials are you guys using to paint your canopies? What paint will stick? I was thinking of using polycarbonate paint but how to clear coat it is the problem. Thanks

Rustoleum primer for plastics, rustoleum high gloss enamel, stick on the decals you want, then blast the whole thing with PPG Omni AU automotive urethane clear coat with a hardener added.

Lightly sand the plastic to remove the shine with wet 400 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper, clean with xylol or lacquer thinner before painting.
