I don't have a 36 so I can't help. Check the Walkera forums. I'm sure someone there has replaced a 36 tail with a shogun unit.

I have read nothing but horror stories on the electronics and servos failing during flight, and how sloppy the setup is...

I have also seen that everyone ends up upgrading to Shogun parts and better electronics..

So I don't see this as being a good deal, why not just buy a used Shogun already setup with real electronics.

Walkera has 100's of posts from piss'ed off users. I am sure they all can't be wrong. see any forum that has helciopters and you will find a Walkera horror story.

I wonder how many people have been put off of choppers, becuase they decided to take the cheap route with Walkera aka Vemon.

If you got a good one, you should send it back to the Walkera factory so they can see what they did right on that one.

oooh geeze man, the electronics are fine(ive had 3 walkeras) and i also do medium 3d with bigger helis. so its not a flying prob. ive had two shoguns, and THEY are the crappy heli!!! they are sloppy, and not very powerful unless u have an ungodly lipo! i still have one and all it does is sit there and look good(about all its good for!) some people dont have very good luck with their walkeras and i feel bad for em, but so far theyve been great for me and as long as it stays good for me i intend on getting more of them(looking at a 60 now, u noticed that the head on the 60's are identical to a raptor head only smaller! too cool!)

I saw an Walkera from one of my heli students last week. I was not able to get it to fly at all with the onboard electronics. I would not support a company that copies others' designs and sells junks on the internet to unsuspected buyers.

If I were the President, I would shut down all Dollar Shops in the country until China is in compliance with our copyright laws.

I have a Zoom that has been problem free in the past two years. The only upgrades I have are the aluminum drive shaft from Sparrows and brushless setup. the stock input gear holds up very well. The brass pinion gets worn out and has to be replaced every 200 flights or so.
I will continue to support companies like Protech/Shogun for their breakthroughs in the micro heli arena. And to those copy cats in China, you will never get a dime from me.

Hi eeeeky, I dont think it is just a question of luck...

The bad things about Walkera is that this heli is not really RTF from the factory...

But if you take the time and you are not an idiot, you can make it fly good.. as you seems to have..

For the others, it is too easy to bad critics a brand because the cheap selling price.

Of course it does`nt take a genius to make fly a Trex or other popular brand... just my opinion.
