What everyone knows and seems to be the norm is to create a thread when either a problem or a question comes up.

I'd like to create this thread for people who have had positive experiences with their Swifts and would like to share them for other Swift owners and would-be-Swift owners, be it, good setups, flight times, video's, pictures, advice, Tx setups, help, repairing, comments, etc...

For those of you new to the Swift, here's Century's main Swift site:

http://www.centuryheli.com/products...m?currentid=304

"I like mine" seems to be the 3-word phrase many are using.

So many have been sold and yet I've only seen 2 on the forums for sale since December. Seems that people are buying them and keeping them which is a good sign.

My Trex's were great. I loved them both, but you just cannot compare the micro's to the larger heli's such as the Logo's and Swift's. They fly different and they feel different. Not better, not worse, just different.

With that said, I personally love the feel of the larger heli's and would never dare to fly my Trex on some windy days when I have fun flying my Swift.

If I could choose only 1 heli, I would choose the Swift hands down.

... But honey it was only $$$

What sold me to the swift is:

-Battery is mounted under the heli leaving lots of place for different kind of batts.

-Use standard servos, lots of choice and cheap.

-Put a good power-system and it'll 3D out of the box.

-Low cost airframe and replacement parts.

To align the rear cyclic control rod verticaly, I've put a nut under the control ball before screwing it into the servo horn. With my HS-6635 the control rod is now perfectly vertical.

Fine! Lots of power and run relatively cool because it carry a light heli. The motor is quite big, fit snugly under the canopy.

I should try it on 10S emoli in a week or two...

My Ion-x was too expensive to suite me. The T-Rex is a great little machine, but a bit twitchy. I find the Swift to be a perfect compromise. It's stable, inexpensive, and 3Ds just fine with the right motor and battery.

Now, if only Century would sell an unpainted fiberglass canopy....

I'd love an unpainted FG as well.

I'd like one (canopy) in scale. I bought the Swift hoping to get something approaching a 30 size IC heli. Fraid it aint so - I thought for a long time about this after seeing your post and my mind just came up with blanks. If it was a woman she'd be dumped.

Why simplify when it's simpler to complicate.

How you like my first attempt at making my own decals. Yeah I love my Swift as well. Started flying Trex's and they were good for a while but after flying the Swift the Trex seems like a toy.

Mine have 5 flights only. Maidenend this saturday.

Itīs impressive on the air for his size. I really like my Trex but Swift are much better machine Very stable flight. Ohh yeahh!

-Low cost parts.
-Standard servos(up to 9KG on swash)
-his 2,5Kg can fly in winds.

Setup with a 5S Evos 1907 1,5Y .Soon 6S I think itīs better relation with this motor.
I have ordered more Lipos for non stop to fly on my club field, and a new battery car to charge lipos.
Wonderful machine I only dream to fly them every day of my life

bye

Well I am having bad luck for sure with my Swift! crashed it 3 times now and none of the crashes was down to the Swift! two of them was a lockout, using the multiplex synth receiver I had in, so swapped to a ppm jr700 then yesterday I had another crash after changing over the crystal in the receiver some-how this reversed the sense of the esc so that even with the throttle hold pulled back the darn thing was going full chat, tipped over and the rest is history!

Other than that its a geat machine, really needing to get some time flying it with no further incidents, but its smooth and rock steady when its flying. Parts very cheap (fortunately!).

Learned that the main shafts bend very easy, more easy than the feathering spindle which really is very strong, but the main shafts are like cheese! causes the shakes on spool up and down, more than any other thing inho, same with the undercarriages the new ones are more brittle, so they seem to break very easy, other than that pretty good.

Love it.

I'm loving mine to bits. I've still got the original spindly gear struts, original headblock bored out to clear the feathering shaft ball and virtually no vibes. I've had over a dozen flights and enjoy it every time, I fly in strong winds without a worry and just charge up and go - for the money I don't think there is a better heli available. I have a Raptor 50 with the Hyper engine in and it may be more powerful with a better climb rate but the Swift is just so much fun, even with a 4S setup and having to manage the collective to avoid bogging down I enjoy it just as much, maybe more at times.

Steve my Swift finally has flyed. Mine have all stock parts with no mods(at the moment).
I think the minimal setup are with 5S. I donīt know how can fly well with 4S setup. Put a Neu motor and Swift become a big heli.

Hey,

I'm with Steve, out the box the stock 4s is great, if you want more power then 5s/6s is the way to go, but 4s is more than plenty if you know how to extract the best performance out of the model in this configuration. Plus this setup is just right price wise to make it affordable to all.

I have fitted the metal motor mount and tail boom clamp to mine as I like bling

At the moment I am back to running CenturyUK's 3D Extra motor after taking out the AXI and it is proving to be just as good fitted with a 9 tooth pinion.

Bad luck m8. you are having a rough trot with the Swift. Some helis are like that. I had one Shuttle that was just a crash waiting to happen - and it did......often. Sure hope that soon you'll get the avionics sorted.
Got to admit once the thing is in the air it is good fun - would look nice in scale!!!!!!

Hey, nice pic!

Is it possible to get a white spare canopy instead of yellow?
