My Posts This: Topic  Forum		Hi, i have been thinkign about buying a blade CX as a fun little toy for the house, i have a raptor 30 v2 and also a blade cp. Flying it around for fun in the house is the only reason why i want it, i want it to be cheap and very little maintenence, because i doubt im goign to be crashing it. So do you gusy think that it will be fun to get and just hover around in the house, or a waste of money?

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I was going to buy a CX to fly in the house (since I don't fly the CP in the house anymore - too many scratches on the furniture...) But after I flew the CX at the hobby store I was afraid it would get pretty boring fast. Try one out before you buy!

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		JNG, you could never be mroe wrong. hhis little CX never gets boring, you think it would but it doesnt. there is just sooooooooooooo much modification that can be done. Someone on another forum even did a full carbon fiber chassis, everything, conversion. trust me it wont bore you

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I'm with JNG. I bought the Blade CP first, then a CX thinking it would be better indoors. Wrong! After about a week I never flew the CX again. Too simple. Way too boring.

I fly the CP indoors when weather is bad. Living room has a 9x9 open area that's perfect. Lots of antiques to avoid. When the CP is trimmed out correctly I can go room to room.

Save your money for something that will hold your attention. Blade CX = Zzzzzzz.

That's the whole problem. They practically fly themselves. I had to crash mine for some excitement.

Personally, I like the stock fuse better than the simulated pod and boom look you've cultivated. It comes out of the box looking more like a full size heli, instead of aping a model.

If you have plans to do some low quality (320x240) video, it might have it's place. Also, some folks like to use them to learn control coordination. Certainly, anyone flying a Raptor won't fall into the latter category.

Then there are those people who, for whatever reason, couldn't get control of a collective pitch heli if Alan Szabo was buddy boxed with 'em. Perfect CX material.

We all know what the purpose of the CX is, with that in mind, it can be alot of fun.

training tool for learning nose in, tail in & figure eights.

Will will never replace my CP but has helped me become
more familiar with TX input vs heli outputs.

I fly my CX and CP every week and enjoy both without

All I can say to Chickenx10 is that when both CX and CP were sitting on my living room table, the CX was gathering dust.

Well, I do crash the CP. And I don't consider it a problem, rather part of pushing the envelope. Seems no matter how hard I try, I can't resist the urge to try something new. It's not automatic, and certainly not a daily occurance. I've been known to go a couple weeks, in fact. But that first loop was worth it.

There's no inherent problem with the CX. Some people are happy standing on an assembly line all day, inserting the same bolt over and over. I can't imagine doing that. So go ahead and impress me with your psychiatric diagnosis. I will file it in the appropriate container. The CX is a boring bird. I'd rather watch paint dry.

But on you, it looks good.

I can't imagine someone who flies a 30 class would be entertained more than a few minutes with the CX. I'm no whiz with these things, having only started in mid-Jan. But thanks to my Trex and the CP, I will never miss the CX.

My Posts This: Topic  Forum		I`ve only had the CX for a month, haven`t found it to be boring yet, will probably grow out of it someday and get a CP, but I will continue flying my CX around the house, since its easy not to hit everything around. Thats what I meant when I said it`s not boring.... its cvertainly a step worth going through when starting out, and a heli that will not gather dust even when I get CP. (but who knows, I dont have the CP yet)
