That's what we have today. Beautiful outside. I bet Cuda already burned 3 packs at least, and trying inverted on his 3D Pro 20 seconds at a time already.

I took my son for a steam train ride, it was a lot of fun. Maybe I will see cuda tomorrow morning and shoot a video of him doing inverted hovering, if this sunshine thing stays around

you're right g_f....

i burned up a few packs on the 3dpro and the maxir.

only worked up enough nerve for about 40 seconds total of inverted.....almost lost the maxir when the tail kicked inverted. it headed over toward the basketball courts and almost went behind a building where i couldnt see before i got it back under control. (it was 7am on a saturday--not a soul around)

nerves of butter, i tells ya. had to land and let my hands quit shaking for 15 minutes before i went back up.

but, like they say--ya gotta get back up on the horse when it throws you. i wasnt brave enough to bring it down to 'lawnmower' height....maybe tomorrow packs are already charged for the morning....care to join?

if it ain't broke…break it.

I spent the day holding my whirly thing in my hands, I buffed the boat hull yesterday and boy do I hurt today..... Spring is officially here when I do that kind of work.... Going back up to the boat today to wax and clean she should be in the water on Monday for my first day of the boating season. Then maybe I'll get back to the helis...

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Slider,
That's great news to hear you'll be in the water monday ,it's special every year when boating season starts. Have had a lot of boat traffic this week.

Cudaboy,
Nice going inverted ,that will get your heart pumping.

no kiddin' arnie

i took both the 3dpro and maxir inverted today. both were going well---for a while. the maxir's tail kicked on me though and i almost lost it. i had visions of lugging a bucket of parts back to the truck. i managed to get it back under control, flipped it back upright, and pulled back hard to barely avoid a big ugly tree.

the 3dpro got out of my hands during a loop and i pulled out a "below 2 foot" save at full elevator/full pitch.

other than those two incidents, i had 4 really good packs in perfect weather.

the heli gods were smiling on me today.

never heard from garage_flyer, so no video

if it ain't broke…break it.

Hi Gang,

Just came in for a minute, heading back out. I'm having a blast with my new SE. I'll have some pics post later this evening with the new canopy.

Thanks to Cuda for giving a paint 101 tutorial. It came out pretty good. I'm pleased anyway, and I AM my own worst critic.

Now you all get off the computer and go play with the kids and/or fly

cheers,
Leslie

Leslie,
Thanks for checking in ,I knew you were having the time of your life on the SE and maybe some two wheeling.
Garage_Flyer,
You will never regret spending time with your son or working on a good marriage cause the rest will fall in place.
Cudaboy,
I will look forward to a video of inverted flying ,I'm just happy for you going to the next level.
It's sunny today ,but the wind came back. The last two evenings have been cold ,but the winds die down so I take advantage of it.

No, kidding on the kids part, and I'm loving every minute of it . Just bought a hotwheel track for him today. Will be busy building again . Too bad it's not a heli .

I will look for a Cuda coupe and trade you for that convertible

Finished building the track. A few reason not to get it . My biggest complain being not every hotwheels will work on it. In fact I tested all the hotwheels my son has and none works except the one come with the set. 2 el cheapo small cars worked but couldn't stand the abuse of the Turbo Booster .

Other than that the track is very high speed, and it fails about 1 out of 10 times even with the stock car. It hasn't shoot the car out that can harm my son but mother and grandma is very worried. Also the hand of the gorilla suppose to hit a lever and hummer the car into a car cage. But when I set the set on carpet the gorilla misses the lever all the time. It works better on kitchen floor but the manual says make sure to set it on "carpet". I guess it's going back to the store tomorrow.

I would had kept it if most hotwheels will run on the track. I bought it from Toy R Us and their display used just every hotwheels there is. I guess they never test it and it's very miss leading.

The worst part is the 2 hours wasted that I could used to build helis . Now I have to spend more time taking it back. (We went because my wife went to Mervey's next door, so buying it wasn't waste of time . It was just part of the honey I care thing )
