ok i think i have a major problem. i have a thunderpower 3s 1320 Mah lipo for my blade CP. i use a hobbico Qucik field charger MKII at 1.2 amps to charge it. i took it out today and after the charging it to what the charger said was full hooked it to my Blade CP. i went out and hovered for two minutes when i saw an extreme power drop and disconnected the battery. i took it in waited about 10 minutes and hooked it up to the charger. the charger now blinks green/red alternating (which means somethings wrong).

could i have somehow overdischarged the lipo after 2 minutes while it was just fully charged? it seems weird as i had plenty of good flights on it before. i'm kinda frustrated.

ANY HELP???

thanks

max

well the cool part is the hobico field charger markII can only do 1A providing you pushed the button enough times to make the lights indicate your are charging with lipo algorythms. Secondly that charger is notoriously ceasing to charge at a very safe voltage.. So if you used the right charging algorythm, and never shorted the battery your charger is probably not at fault.. I fly the same battery in my blade and get an easy 11 minutes with it. so 2 mins is extremely low. I would first check and make sure you are pressing the button enough times to charger properly

hmm is the pack warm in any way? You are probably under voltage most common beginning of charge error

check the pack voltage with a voltmeter. It should not be below 10.0 volts or else you over discharged the lipo.

he can actually go to 3v per cell.. I rarely take mine down this far anymore but 9v is still a safe voltage to stop at. it is considered the cutoff voltage.

fixed it ( i hope)!!!!. i actually got it into trickle charge mode somehow and let the battery trickle charge for an hour or so. i then restarted the charging process at 1.2 amps under lipo mode and its charging as we speak!! i think i just need to give the cells a little power boost before the charger would recgonnize them. anyways thanks guys for the help
