It's an excellent choice if you want a 30 sized electric. Nice machine, easy to maintain, affordable and flies great.

I have a Axi 2826-08 powered one run by emoil 5s1p cells and it flys fantastic. My only gripe with the emoils is only a 6 1/2 min run time. Some of the more powerful motors are getting 8+ mins run time but that is on a 8s or 9s battery. So two of my 5 cells are more run time!

I haven't tried a 5s2p pack but I will one of these days.
My Swift has been flown in 35 mph wind gusts and flew like a champ. I will never go back to a smaller Heli unless it's indoor and that is still doubtfull!

Good info. I have a TrexSE - was thinking about getting a 2nd SE but now am turned on to a larger sized - like swift or logo. Battery price is really the key for me - I don't really want to invest 250 or more into a battery that has 50 charge cycles. Seeing posts about the 80 ebay Emoli packs made me think twice about this size heli.

indeed a decent heli...you will not be disappointed...some might tell you otherwise and also talk about the logo10...do your homework in here and you will be back.

I would pick up a second one instead of a Trex SE in a heartbeat...but one is more than enought for me as I also have a Trex XL.

Very happy with mine run times are very good at 11-14 mins on Flightpower 3700 4s1p packs and similar on much cheaper HiModel 3600 4s2p but not as much punch on the HiModel packs, mines the basic SportDuration inrunner motor that comes as a deal in the U.K, ok for steady flying circuits etc which is where I am at the moment, but needs a better motor when I step up to aerobats

Cheapish lipos can be got over in the U.K at £65 which would be about 100 dollars in the U.S? dont think thats too bad.

Excellent easy to work on heli with extremely cheap spares its a great design, hope this helps.

Larger helicopters are much easier to fly and the low cost Emoly V28 cells are a perfect match for the Swift.

Theres others than the Swift and Logo, have a look at the Quick Japan EP-8 V2 if your comming from a Rex, it runs 5s emolis or 2 T-Rex packs (3s or 4s TP2100's) so you wont lose your lipo/charger investment, 'full' ali bling as standard, have a look in the EP-8 forum here on RR, no issues, just guys trying to decide what motor to try next and saying how pleased they are with the heli. If you dont like its all ali chassis then CF frames are £50, and Rappy skids are £12 or so.

I learned with a Trex and am now flying the Swift. I have to say I'm probably never going to go back to the Trex. The Swift is a joy to fly, and no worries when its windy. I got 2 V28 packs that I cut out of the case and just soldered on some wire and a connector, cheap and easy. I have yet to try and cut up my canopy to fit the V28 pack. I'd be interested to hear what others have done. I Love my Swift!

It still gets hot but not as much. I bought a 9 tooth pinion to try and I built a fan and mount assembly to keep the air blowing non-stop. We'll see what that does for it. After I went from the 11 tooth to the 10 it helped conciderably. On the 5s and 10 tooth I'm getting (according to my GloBee optical tach!) 1830 to 1850 at 0 degrees. I hate to loose the head speed but hoping to gain flight time. I can always put the 10 tooth back on if the 9 stinks. I'll post the results.

The temp here today was 81 (Missouri!) and it has now cooled to about 50 degrees with winds at 25 to 35 mph. It will fly in the wind but I'm not that great in it. So if the wind dies down I'm airborn and can post some results.
