Just connect the wires to the ESC and if the rotation is wrong change any two wires, it won't smoke.
The TP1010 is to my knowledge the only charger that you can charge 10 LiPo cells at once and if you have a 10S2P you will have to have a charger that will charge 10 cells or take it apart and make 2 - 5S2P packs. You also need to buy a TP210 balancer, the balancer will connect to the charger and keep the cells balanced. Keeping LiPo cells balanced is a must. TPPacks has the combo for $189.00, if he has any in stock. There are several other places you can get the TP1010 and TP210 for about the same money. I have a TP1010, a TP210 and a TP205, I also have an Astro 109. The Astro 109 is OK but will not charge 10 cells, only up to 9 cells and its not quite as inteligent as the 1010. The 1010 has a 10 battery memory, choises of 50%, 95%, 100%, Fast charge, Storage or Li-on packs. It can charge up to 8.25 amps, but it takes a 25 amp power supply. I use the 12.5 amp. Astro 120 power supply since I already had it. At the field I use my truck battery to charge the Emolis at 2C (6 amps), the Astro 120 want do that.
You may want to buy some Emoli Ion cells, Milwaukee tool packs. There are several threads here about these batteries, they are less expensive but not as high mah as the LiPos so you have to use more cells to do close to the same job as the LiPos. You can buy enough packs to make six 6S packs for about the cost of a 10S2P LiPo pack. If you did that you would need to get a CC 85HV, the HV45 isn't quit enough. I still use the HV45 in my Emoli Raptor but it really needs the 85. |
