I was around when dragonfly/hummingbird was the beginner heli.
Someone tried to mount everything backward, hang the whole setup from the ceiling and try to fly inverted. To cut it short, he failed.
It was very cool though.
The problem was that the rotor cannot produce enough centrifugal force to keep the whole thing from tipping over (body is on top rather than hanging from the bottom), so the whole thing was swinging around when he spooled up.
I would imagine the same thing would happen on a blade cx.
So I think this one probably just hangs from the ceiling with the rotor turning a bit.
Total photoshop. The only thing with a shadow in the pic is the heli. Note the "pilot" has no shadow which should be extending from his feet on the floor to the wall and door behind him.
There are also some unusual glares (reflections from the flash in the reflectors?) on the hanging bike on the left side. Maybe this is a mirror trick of some kind?
But, I think the shadows are a dead giveaway that it's been faked.
It's a an altered photo. Dead give a way is the shadow of the stabilizer bar on the wall several feet away is the same length as the stabilizer bar itself. Try it with a light 3 foot behind you hold up your hand in front of a wall 3 foot in front of you. Your hand will have a shadow much larger.
I looked at this thread for a while then noticed that JT is around the area so I asked him if I could come over while he demonstrated what everybody belives to be an impossible feat. He did it right in front of my eyes. He hoverd the blade up side down with ease. I asked him to tell me how he did it but he said he wouldnt tell me so now I am trying to come up with theeories of my own.
