Any Jimmy Buffet fans out there? This design my son calls "Coral Flames" may appeal to you.

Ever feel like you have no say whatsoever in how models come about, i.e. even for something as trivial as what the decal sheet will look like? Here's your chance. Please take a moment of your time to cast a vote for your favorite decal design for the upcoming Pantera 50. There are 59 entries, they're not identified by name, only by number.

Entries: http://www.audacitymodels.com/ftopict-183.html

Voting: http://www.audacitymodels.com/ftopict-189.html

Thank you one and all for your time!

Kindest regards,

I presume you're going to insure that if any of the artists vote that they can't vote for their own designs?

Why not, that's why it's called a vote, but they can only vote once it shouldn't matter if they vote for there own design. At the end of the day even if all the artists vote for theres it will end up being a not artist that casts the deciding vote

Guys, your vote doesn't count here on RR you need to click on the link to the voting site in John Beech's message.

So did you vote for your own then FoxDen?

I wonder who else did? I have the same username here and on the Audacity models forum.

If I had made my usernames different or hadnt posted it here no one would know...

So I cant vote for my own without looking like Im not playing fair and being unsporting... OR CAN I

This is partly why "I" am making the decision. Just tell me what you like folks and . . . cast your vote!

John is flat on his back with a cold and hasn't looked at most of the entries yet. Now he has me scouring the forums before I go to bed to snag any images or votes that aren't already accounted for. And there are oodles of votes that have come in via e-mail that I've not counted yet either, so there's going to be a delay in the results. Lynn

Isn't that what laptops are for? Could you hang it over top so he can keep working?

Tell John not to lose sleep over this .... if it's possible. And get well soon. Thanks for the update Lynn

Folks,

Sorry for the delay in announcing a winner in the Pantera 50 decal design contest (there's a Pantera 50 in it for the winner, a ProMuffler for second, and a 6" digital caliper for third). Anyway, I've not been feeling too well and am only now "back in the saddle". I'd also like to take this moment to thank you all for your thoughts and suggestions.

There are two finalists and thus, there's one more chance to make you voice heard. One is called "flag" and the other "trad". Please let us know your thoughts after surfing to our website:

http://www.audacitymodels.com/ftopicp-868.html#868

There is a poll for picking between the two.

Thanks!

The canopy and windshield are shaped differently than the template that was provided to the contestants and neither of the two finalists was ever submitted verbatim. One of them looks like a bad Hobby Days rehash and the other looks like a butcher job of one of the submissions. If the final decal sheet ends up looking lame, it will be no surprise.

Wow, tell him what you really think hehe. Actaully, I was surprised also at the two final choices, considering some of the great entries that IMHO were pretty slick Good luck to the two finalists!!!

Huh???? The Canopy & Windshield template provided to us looks identical to what is shown in the two finalists photos (minus the decals of course). Maybe it is the difference in appearance between a 2D profile drawing and a 3D photos.

I will say this. The voting feedback was not taken into consideration at all though since I didn't see where candidate #1 or #8 was picked by anyone for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Yes, I still feel like we (not just me) have no say whatsoever in this, and that is fine except it should not be hyped. Might I dare say that the finalists were chosen long before ideas were submitted.
