My Posts This: Topic Forum | Flighttechusa Head UpgradeHey guys, I'm the flight tech guy Andy. I make these parts and would like to address some of your thoughts and concerns. First off, the head unit was designed before the Bell Hiller came out and that is why it doesn't work on the BH mixing grips. However, I do plan to make Bell Hiller mixing grips that will work with my upgrade. The main reason why I made this upgrade unit was to eliminate the sticky head unit problem. In the process of doing that I also give you more travel on the flybar arms which increases more manueverability, more pitch travel, which allows your servos not to stall in a full stick stick position and a low stick position. The pin that holds the head unit is a perfect fit so that the main gear will turn along with the head so that there is no slop like you have in the stock head unit. With this head unit, you will be able to get smooth flight transition, a ton of response, no slop and for those who have bought this part and still have questions and concerns please email me info@flighttechusa.com and I will call you to service you completely.
Now understand this, I have personally tested the Bell Hiller mixing head that is for 145 or 110. The bearings were secured with improper screws, the seesaw has excessive slop and play. It made it impossible for me to track my blades. The bearings that hold the mixing arms are using a bushing for the inside then the bearing that causes even more slop. For those who have this head unit, I would recommend putting a 2mm ID / 5mm bearing so that you get rid of the bushing and that will take out a lot of slop.
Check out our new price on our website. All our parts are made here in the USA for Quality control. There are plans in the works to do a write up on this part soon. Also our phone number on our website will be added. We were in transition to another state and unfortunately it was overlooked. |
