Make sure you have aileron and elevator channel endpoints set to 100. If you have different endpoints on those 2 channels, you'll get weird interactions like that. Start out with all endpoints at 100.

I had to change the lower endpoint on throttle to get the esc to arm, and I changed one endpoint on collective slightly to prevent binding in that direction, but otherwise, everything else is at 100. To adjust total travel on a ccpm head, you have to adjust the swash values, not endpoints.

Also, make sure you don't have different dual rate values for aileron and elevator. If you're still getting everything setup, it's best to leave them at 100.

Tried playing with the swash settings on all the channels, and it didn't seem to work. Could it be the forbidden sub-trims that are off?

Also...I'm having a problem with the tail not working. I'm wondering if it's the ESC or the motor itself not being able to handle running on LiPos. I have a Blue Arrow PP-10C wired with the Align 25A ESC. I've got it plugged into a GWS Micro gyro but the tail motor doesn't seem to want to move. Is that not an appropriate ESC for the tail? What is this direct drive I hear for the tail...will that get rid of the ESC and motor?

That's what I've got for the tail motor.

The subtrims only affect where the servo centers at. I wouldn't think it would affect how the swash moves. Did you verify that all the endpoints (EPA's) and dual rates (D/R's) are at 100?

To arm the tail esc, you have to move the rudder stick full left. Something you just have to do everytime you connect the battery if you go all separates.

If you go with the GWS DD tail motor, you can use the stock 4in1. But since you've removed the 4in1, you still need to use an esc and gyro. The DD tail is just a different brushed motor that doesn't use a gear driven prop.

Thanks! I tried the stick left full rudder. Now I seem to have yet another problem. The tail just constantly goes at a rate way too high. I've got the Gyro set-up according to the instructions to the best of my knowledge. I tried adjusting the trim down all way way to -40% and it still spins too fast. Any idea what that could be all about?

My EPAS and Dual Rates are all at 100

Also, any suggestions as far as pitch curves? I'm using an Optic 6, so I have 5point throttle and pitch curves. Any recommendations on setting it up would be awesome. At mid stick should I have 0* pitch?
Sorry for all the questions, but like I said this is my first helicopter. Probably picked a totally wrong set-up, but I'm learning

Here's a thread that talks about Optic6 settings for a BCP, including mine. I have my pitch curves set so that in Idle-up, mid-stick, mid-trim has zero pitch. Typically that means 50. I don't fly in Normal, so it's used mainly just to spin up the rotors.

I'm not familiar with that gyro. Isn't the only adjustment gain? Since you do have a gyro, make sure your revo mix is all zero, otherwise the tx will be trying to add revo mixing to whatever the gyro is trying to do. Which trim are you trying to adjust? I would think that you would want to set the rudder trim at zero, make sure the gyro is plugged into the rudder channel on the rx, set the tx revo mix setting to zero, set the tx gyro setting to zero, set the gyro gain in about the middle, and see what happens. This is the way I set up the 4in1 gyro if starting from unknown settings. I would think the methods would be similar because both your gws gyro and the oem 4in1 gyro are simple rate gyros. Just change one thing at a time so you can tell what effect it has.
