Got board yesterday and decided to play with the CX. Set up 2 video cameras and put a sling and hook on the skids of the CX. Mission was to pick up an empty plastic telescope eyepiece container and trasport it accross the room, drop it off and return to the takeoff point. Several crashes and 2 batteries later I completed the mission. Although not exactly as planned, it was accomplished. Had a boat load of fun and learned some new skills. Video link posted below.

Looks like fun. The skids worked well. Was it luck or skill?

Here is the same thing, just on an outdoor scheme.

A old fuel jug that is 1/3 full of water makes a heck of a BOOM when it hits ground.

Fuel Bottle Bombing

Pretty cool Blake. Would love to see that in action. On my end it was pure luck. Was fun though.

I'm sure it was fun. I'm gonna have to try it with my CP the next time I'm trapped in the house by weather, kids or wife.

Its about 1/3 full of water and yes it is fun other than on windy days. I think I knocked the bottle over a few times that day. Also make sure you have a full tank of fuel the first time you try it. The first time ever tried it I couldn't seem to figure out how to get it off the skid but I finally dipped the nose down slightly and did a 360 right piro. As soon at the piro stopped the jug released.

I just watched the video. That’s pretty cool. I'd say using a bigger glow heli would make it easier to do.
