Have about 12 to 15 flights on my EVO 90, WOW! This thing really feels nice in the air. My fling is better than I thought, or the EVO is better than my raptors?

So does the EVO 50 have the same flight feel as the EVO 90? I may have to sell the Raptor 50. And get a Hirobo upgrade.

Ken

I like my 50, go for it. If you get a tax return, you'll know how to use it.

I want a 50 size heli to go along with my 90's. They rock for 3D and for fuel consumption. The Evo 50 is a great choice.

Now you see what we have been talking about. You'll love the EVO 50,it flys like the 90 except it feels ligh compared to a Raptor 50 even though it's a few ounces heavier. Foward flight is very stable and cyclic is quick. Just about everyone at our field has sold their Raptors and replaced them with Evo 50 and 90's. DOUG

I fly both. They are so close in performance that what you notice in difference is just size and sound. My 50 is as fast as my 90 and my 90 is as nimble as my 50.

Nothing like the blade slapping sound of a 90 though

You guys are going to cost me some money, but so does everything else in this hobby. I think i may have a buyer for my Raptor. Then it will be easy to decide.

Thanks for the comments

I have to say that I find my Freya 90 (not EVO) somewhat more powerful and agile than my Sceadu 50 EVO.
Sceadu 50 EVO is Webra 52AAR + 540 pipe, 5% nitro, CX dampners
Freya is OS91PS with OMI carb/cline + 970 pipe, 15% nitro, CX V2 dampners

I have a highly specced EVO 50 with OS50 Hyper, zimmerman exhaust, SAB blades, CX dampeners, delrin gears, freya undercarriage, freya tail and few other bits including carbon upgrades.
Would the Freya fly fairly similarly to this? I presume the only real difference would be a slight power advantage on the Freya..??

Samstar, I think you would get more torque but not more speed. The power/weight ratio of the Evo50 is hard to beat.

I have both the models on Reflex XTR and the EVO 50 is very similar to mine (after slight alteration as the OS hyper has an AWESOME power-weight ratio) so I presume the Freya is pretty realistic too...on the sim the EVO can pretty much do what ever the Freya does with as much authority!
